DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! The staff in the leasing office will treat you like a million bucks until after you have been on the property more than a year. They don't return your phone calls, take forever to notify maintenance about your requests, and the corporate office talks to you like your an idiot. The elevators never work properly and the halls now reek of a strange odor on nearly every floor. Old people wonder around the buildings without proper dress attire and if you leave your window open in the spring you will have a nice surprise waiting for you (bugs). I have been a resident for over 5 years and have been treated like a second class citizen although I am a loyal rent payer. I will be leaving this place as soon as my lease is up. It wasn't always like this.

This community of three brick buildings best described as a cross between military barracks, government projects, and an old hotel is nestled between an oil refinery, car dump, airport, and a few highways. When I first moved in I found out my neighbors consisted of guy who constantly wore a bike helmet (and he didn't own a bike), a scary gut who we nicknamed "Skeletor", and an angry Jamaican woman who I think beat the one who wore the helmet. I used to hear "stop it! stop it" every night in the middle of the night (the walls a paper thin) My girlfriend was scared and one day a case worker came by and we never saw them again. We are also becoming very familiar with a tenant name "Norm". We became aware that he moved in because his wife screams his name every night. I can go on and on with stories about the people here so let me descibe the community's appearance. There is a mysterious dust on everything inside and outside of the apartment buildings. Golfballs fly over the 10 foot fence along fairway of the 6th hole of FDR's golf course. There is a squad of special needs people who mill around the complex and we dubbed as the wack pack (one of them threatened a friend and I). The fire alarms go on and off randomly. The washer and driers are terrible. I think someone used one of the driers as a restroom. Forget it if you want food delivered that isn't from a Chinese place that does laundry and sells pizzas. The maintenance people feed the stray cats to chase off the rodents. A rodent fell out of our vent in the Kitchen, into the sink, and died because I guess the fall broke it's neck. A board that was nailed into the wall in my bedroom fell down one day and when I went to replace it I realized that you could see directly into the bathroom of the apartment below ours. That explained some of the mysterious odors. There a shopping carts left in the hallways from area stores. I'm embaressed to have guests.

The gateway tower apartments by Park Bradford apartments are a great place to live. They are located in South Philly right next to the sports stadiums. Its only a 10 minute drive to center city. The apartments themselves are slightly isolated so they are quiet and peaceful. the aparments overlook the FDR golf course. THey offer a pool, gymnasium in each apartment. They have very good security so never had any problems. The office people are very helpful and very friendly.
