We've lived in this area all of my life and we are all proud of "our inn". The food is delicious and the people are really friendly.

When you go, you should try the Prime Rib. It's the best you will ever have. My wife usually gets their seafood combination. It has a big piece of Lobster Tail in it, and it is fabulous.

They are not cheap, but they are a lot less than Morton's or Sullivan's, and are a lot better.

Seven Stars is a quiet little restaurant that can be rather pricey, but the food is amazing and portions are great for the amount that you pay. Reservations are needed and the staff is quite nice and accommodating. I have never had a bad experience here and highly recommend it for a special occasion!

This portions at this place are HUGE. The food was very good, I had the prime rib. The place is a little out of the way, but worth the trip.

Pros: Good food & staff

Cons: Location

I loved this place. My lamb chop appetizer and my sauteed seafood dinner were some of the best restaurant food I have eaten. My friends live near there and have been going for years. Apparently, this place is like a landmark out there.

Neat old inn. Big portions. Friendly people. A lot more character than all of the new corporate steak places.

I went with a large group of colleagues, many of which were from other countries. Had high hopes after the buzz of planning the night and reviewing their website. Was very disappointed. We dressed for a high class evening and sat through a less than stellar dining experience. I saw people in jeans and sneakers to my chagrin, oh well. I had no idea we could be sittiing near a table with balloons and birthday cake - and yes we sat by and waited to talk while they sang it out loud. This is not supposed to be Applebee's folks, am I wrong?

We started with a drink at the bar while waiting for the tables to open up. My wife's glass of wine had to be returned because the glass had lipstick on it from the previous user - absolutely unacceptable. Better check the cleanliness on your next visit. It may be time for Gordon Ramsey to pay a visit and kick some staff butt.

We ate in a corner of the basement dining area and found the decor to be tired, musty and dusty. We knew their claim to fame was quantity and on that, they delivered, but wuality was out the door on this night. I had the Ahi Tuna appetizer which was a complete mess. It was dry and over cooked on the outside, tough and stringy on the inside. I've never seen a huge "cake slice" portion like this - so wrong, guess I should have known.

For dinner we had the scallops, baked stuffed shrimp, Queen's cut of filet, and pre-ordered 40 oz prime rib. The latter was the highlight of the night, but only in that people sat amazed at the sheer size of the dish. Beyond that, the rest of it was ordinary at best. My unfinished scallops were not worth the take home box. Dessert offerings were few, creme breule was unavailable and no expresso to be found, just diner grade coffee for me, thanks. We will not be returning. I can get quantity elswhere for half the price and at much better quality.

To top if off, we were turned away from a night cap - bar closed at 10:30 PM - ouch - it was a Saturday night...

Pros: Quantity only

Cons: Where to start, read my review....

This is the type of place that you take your parents to when they are in town. Pretty simple cuisine with large portions, but not anything that one would consider to be a fine dining experience despite the rather elegant & historic setting and the prices.

Seriously, sucks rocks. The only thing recommending this place is large portions. Well, you can get large portions at McDonald's and not spend the equivalent of the GDP of a third world country in the process.

When paying $30 a dish, I expect top notch service. The service might have been decent for a diner, but it was far from elegant dining service. Tiny details - having enough silverware for the number of courses, bringing me a dessert spoon instead of leaving me to use my coffee spoon for dessert, clearing plates, serving butter in a dish instead of wrapped in foil and crackers on a plate instead of in plastic. We ate there twice, and had lists of dozens of those details that were just completely neglected. Service was slow, inconsistent and far from the fawning service one would hope for at that price. Meanwhile the whole place reeked of smoke from the bar, it was crowded and loud, and the decor was tacky as all get out. Again - if I were paying $7 a meal for diner food, this would all be acceptable. But this was *NOT* fine dining. I don't like paying fine dining prices for that crap. And the food? Meh. Not bad, but not $30 worth of good. Again, the only thing it had going for it was massive portions.

Not inexpensive, but still a good value. The food was pure "Steakhouse" -- Prime Rib, Steaks, Veal -- all old fashioned preparations. The meals were excellent, and were really LARGE. Everyone was very friendly. Service was very good, but not formal. The employees seemed like they worked there for ever. They were proud of all of their new carpeting and painting and paperhanging. In all, it was probably one of the best evenings I have had in a restaurant in a long time.

Cons: Best of traditional food, but nothing creative.

Several people where I worked at the time reccomended Seven Stars to us. We went there one day just for drinks and really liked the bar and drinks. Came back another time with My sister for dinner. I was looking forward to what I thought was going to be an exceptional meal and quite frankly was dissapointed. They seem to stress food quantity rather than quality. We all had appetizers as well as main courses. Each protion was easly enough for 2 to 3 people. It was just too much. I love Duck but was not ammused to receive an entire Duck hanging off both sides of the plate. The Duck didn't look good and really was not that greatI've had much better at many other places. No one particularly enjoyed their meal. Service was very slow and the prices on some items are quite high. Also on closer inspection it looks like the Inn is in need of a make over, it looks a little long in the tooth and thread bare. There are other excellent choices in the general area so we need not waste our time and money going back.

I often think of a memorable lunch I had at Seven Stars Inn - it was recommended by a local to me and a colleague while we were working on a project in King of Prussia. A beautiful drive to the place, a quaint atmosphere and outstanding service were in store for us. But the best part was the food - the prime rib (although at 2 lbs, quite more than I could handle) and the roast duck (they brought the entire duck!) were cooked to perfection and delicious. If you're dining with someone else, I'd suggest sharing an entree, as the portions are more than mere mortals can handle single-handedly. Makes me want to buy a plane ticket just to go back there!

Monsterous portions in an elegant enviroment. Have a nice drink at the bar while you wait for you table in this beautiful estate like restaraunt. Has several stories and is one of a kind.
