Anyone posting good reviews especially about good customer service at Nanking (Stelton Rd) has not been there recently and had the misfortune of interacting with their manager (Vicky). An utter insult to the hospitality business, they operate as if you were lucky to find a seat there.

If you are among those who like to pay exorbitent money for food and don't mind being insulted (i mean it), keep visiting the place. I am not, and will make sure none of my friends do too.

BTW, I have been in NJ for 4+ years and know there are many other Indo-Chinese places serving better food at lower prices.

Outstanding service,pleasant Manager and Staffs,s
service was above expectation and above all good food. the Pan-fried chilly Chicken, Kaichi the apps were great. one should try the Coriander's spicy soup.
Crispy Pom-fret with garlic sauce, and Schezwan fried rice veg, if u r a spicy lover eater.
last but not the least keep some space for their home made malai kulfi, it will take u back in time, i mean u young days

If you cannot stand snooty attitude bad service, stay away from Nanking in Piscataway, Middlesex Mall.

The food and ambience is reasonably good and reminds you of the "Indian Chinese" cuisine from the streets of Bombay but the staff are always more than ready to spoil your time.

If you're around 2-3 people, you will be most likely jailed in a dark corner. Consider yourself lucky if the server visits you after serving the food. Strollers are not allowed into the restaurant. Your child (regardless of age) has to be in a car seat or a high chair. High chairs mostly have broken belts.

In a group of 8+ people, you're more likely to get good service (errr ... if they don't forget what you ordered !). You will be cramped for space and will constantly be rubbing elbows with your neighbors!
On one occassion, we had a reservation for 12 and had an unexpected arrival of 2 guests. The rude servers and managers forced us to close the tab on one table and only then move to the other. Plus, they did not move us. We had to move the utensils ourselves to the new table. Customer service at its worst !

If you don't speak English or Spanish at home, like a few other desi restaurants, the attitude takes a turn for the worse.

The prices are a bit on the higher side. If you dine in, they charge a 15% gratuity by default. This may be the reason for the pathetic customer service.

To be on the safe side, avoid dining in here for any reason; take away is the way to go as long as the food does not lose its charm !
