Delicious Food & Live Music 5 Star Rating - World class

This is definitely a stand-out restaurant in the commercialized Times Square area. I went with 2 other people on a Saturday night, and we had no problem getting a table. The bruschetta was one of the best I've ever had. My veggie pasta dish and brownie dessert were to die for. And on top of this great food, how can you beat live jazz?? It wasn't too loud, so we could easily have a conversation. Our waitress was personable and fantastic. I would definitely go back.

Pros: Great food, great music, great service, not crowded
Cons: None

A true restaurant find 5 Star Rating - World class

After viewing the tree in Rockefeller Center, with the crowds of people, and the Cathedral, we headed west to the Port Authority and passed Lagan's on West 47th Street. My six year old needed to use the bathroom so we went in, and decided to have a drink and some snacks. A very good choice, the bar was packed but people made room for us and everyone was so friendly even though my daughter was a bit fidgety. Several business men gave up their seats with the cute encouragement of the bartenders, Eddie and Donald. My husband didn't want to leave, but bus schedules are a tough taskmaster. We will go back, Langan's was delightful, kid friendly, people friendly, just a very enjoyable end of a day of New York experiences.

Terrible Food 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

Came here with my girlfriend around Christmas Time. The food here was terrible, Her chicken skewers were served cold and burned. The vegetables that came with my chicken had no flavor. The service from the bartender was slow. Drinks are averagely priced ($5.00 for Coors Light).

The decor is nice and presents a cozy atmosphere but if you're looking for a good meal, either go to the Pig and Whistle across the street or Channel 4, 1 block away.

Pros: Decor
Cons: Food

wonderful restaurant in the theater district 5 Star Rating - World class

I took my husband here for his birthday in Oct--on a Sunday. We were going to a play ,it was wonderful. We have been here many times. It is a great place for Sunday brunch. Try the Irish breakfast. It so reminded me of our visit to Dublin. The staff is great. We had a large group and we were seated promptly and in a nice section. We made our play and even had time for a walk after our wonderful meal. It is great that the restaurants in NYC are smoke -free--we could walk past the bar and not be insulted by smoke.
Do try this Irish restaurant. it is fun and you can find food that is affordable. The price-fixe meal is also excellent.

Pros: location and price
Cons: still construction near the restaurant
