In the 2 years I've lived in Connecticut I have yet to find a decent nail salon. Based upon the favorable review Chris gave, I decided to drive to Portland and give Natural Nails a try. And she was right, the pedicure was amazing. I did not get the $60 Green Tea pedicure they tried to push on me, and asked for just the basic $40 spa pedicure. It was very relaxing, she even used hot stones, and my french tips lasted 1 month which is a miracle for me.
The full nail set however, is a different story. It took forever because they filed every nail by hand (did not use drills). The nails themselves did not look great, and they didn't last very long either.
But the biggest shock was the price- $112! For a full set and a pedi? That seems outrageous.
I guess my quest for a great nail salon continues...
For a professional manicure, pedicure, wax, you name it, give Natural Nail a try. They're conveniently located on Rte. 66 and have great hours. Try the spa pedicure; for $40 you get an hour to an hour and a half of pampering that is out of this world. The staff is friendly and helpful and the store is very clean. Last time I went I had had major surgery the week before and was in rough shape. They were extremely accommodating and careful with me. Moving my legs was at times difficult because of where my incision was but they let me take my time and helped me with everything I needed. They constantly checked my comfort level and were just so sweet about everything. Give them a shot, you won't be sorry! By the way, my nails always look terrific!
