Oasis Day Spa is awful at customer service!

by Nikole W.

This is the least professional place I have ever been to! My initial experience was awful and I wrote a review about it. Due to the fact I still had a credit on the gift certificate my hubby purchased for my birthday, I decided to use it for a pedicure. The staff then called me to tell me the nail tech was not in- again- and then the manager picked up to tell me that due to the review I gave online, she would not provide me with service and began to try to yell and try to overtalk me!! I am posting this follow up to my negative review on all sites for Oasis Day Spa- what an upsetting experience!!

Oasis Day Spa is a .5 star at best

by Nikole W.

This is not at all a top rated spa. This was my birthday and my husband surprised me with a gift certificate for 3.5 hours of pampering. The nail tech did not show up, so that chopped off 1.5 hours. I asked for lunch and they got my order mixed up. The massage was mediocre and the facial was just average. The walls are in need of a fresh coat of paint and the table was dirty- the music was one looped song- not even relaxing. I have been very disappointed by both Lynn's and Oasis- time to give up on Columbia and look elsewhere for a day of pampering. :(

From the toilet to the table.. the spa that stressed me out

by anon123 a.

Oasis should not be called a spa. Florescent lights burn brightly in the treatment rooms. The restrooms were not clean or well maintained. The entire experience was like being doused with a vat of cheap oil. My massage therapist was very nice, but needs a significant amount of additional training before providing services to clients.

Oasis Day Spa is DISGUSTING

by aba a.

This place sucks! They screwed up my appointment dates and yelled at me when I told them they were wrong! Very rude staff, thankfully I didnt even end up going, as I have read this place is dank and rank inside! The manager and staff are rude!

Wonderful treat for relaxing and de-stressing

by Sunny S.

Oasis Day Spa is my haven for relaxing and de-stressing! Everyone seems glad to see you, and the staff all seem to smile and enjoy working with you. The decor is calm and relaxing, and soft music and good scents everywhere. The services are superb and super-relaxing. The management has always managed to fit me in, no matter how tight their schedule; they are incredibly service-oriented. Whether you want a little pampering or a lot, there is a service just right for you. I have gone there stressed out and after a massage felt completely calm--not just from the massage itself, but from the calming atmosphere of the spa and staff. What a wonderful refuge! Well worth every penny (and I am normally CHEAP, believe me!). Go there, you'll be glad you did!

They don't have their act together

by Robin H.

I called three weeks in advance to schedule a couples massage for my husband and myself. It was my first visit to this particular spa and I knew I had to be a little early to fill out paperwork and de-robe for the massage. We arrived 20 minutes early, filled out the paperwork and sat down the small, uncozy front waiting area (which I overheard had just been redone - refund please). Several others arrived after we did, including at least one other couple for a couple's massage. A husband of the of the staff arrived with a canister of cream/sugar for the waiting area and then proceeded to walk around the spa unaccompanied. Technicians continuously came out to the receptionist to inquire about their day, what room to use. The receptionist would advise to use "room 1 or 2" to receive a response of "those rooms are in use" the receptionist would they say, I don't know, go speak with so and so (this happened at least 2 or three times during our wait). 30 minutes later, all of the (at least) 8 people that arrived after we did had been escorted back to their appointments, including the one or two couples that also had appointments for a couples massage, which didn't surprise me because of the couples knew the girl at the front desk. After 45 minutes, we decided it was time to get our deposit back and leave. We were then told "our room was currently being prepared". I said, I'm sorry, we are leaving:. The response from the receptionist was the the couple before use was 30 minutes late. And that's my problem? Not once in the 45 minutes were we advised of any delays, not to mention, it clearly states on their website that arriving late will shorten your service. I told her that I have been to several spas and have never seen such chaos and lack of organization. She went to get the manager to refund my deposit. The manager came to the front to refund our money, then answered to phone and continues to talk on the phone while she hands me my refund. This is one spa I will NOT be returning to.

Not a relaxing experience

by Anonymous

Not sure why they are always rated number 1 in Columbia. I was pleased to see at this visit that they renovated the front area, it looks very pretty. However, they make no effort to use their space (which is small) to make it a relaxing environment that one expects from a "day spa." No relaxing music, no hot/cold tea or even lemon water, maybe something healthy to nibble on. It's so easy to satisfy a customer that is just looking for some relaxation, so why not do it?I had a manicure & pedicure this time. My manicurist was 20 minutes late, I had to ask her to re-do a few of my nails; there was NO massage on my hands or feet - it was quite rushed.... When waiting for her to show up, a couple technicians were sitting in the waiting room chatting & complaining about something. Not professional at all. I've been here on several occasions and keep hoping it will get better. I have $300 worth of g/c's and think I'll just use them up to get waxing done. It's not worth me getting excited for some relaxation!

Nightmare

by Anonymous

Horrible experience. Suppose to be a professional and know what she was doing, she burned my face. I just wanted a regular facial, she talked me into doing a glycolic peel, chemical was too much for my face, clearly she did not know how to handle this treatment, if she does, she has poor technique. Complained to the owner, she handled the situation worse, their excuse was I signed the consent, which takes them off the hook. They did nothing to make me feel better, and I had to attend a special occasion the weekend after. Embarrassing. And oh, I missed a couple of days work to stay home and wait for my face to peel off.

Great Time

by Alan K.

I was at this Spa for the first time last week as I received a Gift Certificate for this Spa from my Dad who lives in California. I was very much pleased with their staff and massage therapists. They are very well trained and very professional.

great time

by Christina B. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,363

The spa offers facials, massage, body wraps, threading, henna tattoo, manicure and pedicure, and other spa services. The treatments are provided in private rooms . They accept Spafinder gift certificates which is how I found out about them. I had a facial and mani/pedicure with my SIL and we had a great time.Would recommend to locals who need some me time!
