I've been eating Indo-Chinese food in many cities - Chicago, Atlanta, Bay Area etc. For a city like St. Louis to boast an Indo-Chinese restaurant in one thing but to offer a good value and tasty food is quite another ! Hot N Sour does both. While it is definitely not the MOST authentic Indo-Chinese one could eat (that would be Chinese Rasoi in Atlanta), I think what they offer is good value for money. I am vegetarian and the waiters were meticulous in ensuring that my dietary preferences were reflected in my meal order. I liked the Vegetable Bazzia and the Schezuan Stir Fried Green Beans. Some dishes like Baby Corn Manchurian were cooked predominantly in Sriracha Chilli Sauce which was kind of lame, but overall the food was good.

Pros: Tasty Indo-Chinese at reasonable prices, friendly service, casual atmosphere

Cons: Some appetizers weren't as authentic

I have only been (many times) for lunch, so I can't speak for dinner service, but lunch has been great. The food is wonderful, with good lunch specials. Best Hot and Sour soup I have found in St. Louis so far, as is the Szechuan eggplant. The lunch menu is a lttle limited, otherwise it is definitely worth a try.

Pros: Food, Prices, vegetarian options

Cons: limited menu

takes more then 15 minutes to take your order after seated!!! ask them a question about that and they get offended!!! Food is average but staff is far from courteous. Go only fi you crave this food or there are places with more responsive and couteous staff
