My family and I traveled from Wilmington to Xbos today because online, it looked like a neat place, a larger version of Chuck E. Cheese. We were excited about going somewhere new, but as soon as we walked in, we were uncomfortable. There were no greeters at the door, no counter, or anyone immediately available to give direction or information. When we did finally approach the counter, the employees were very stand-offish and unpleasant. They looked at us without saying a word. We asked how it all works and the cost for my family to enter the soft-play area. One of the ladies commented unnecessarily that it was ok for my teen sister and son to enter "as long as they don't get rowdy, get kicked out, and don't get a refund..." Like wtf was that about??? We go many places, even better places, and our kids have never been kicked out of anywhere. I was very offended but bit my tongue so my family could enjoy themselves. But I would never take my family back there, simply because of the nasty employees. If you are not a people person or a lover of all races of people, you're in the wrong line of business.

Summer of 2010 my kids and I have been here a lot. I usually enjoy watching them play from the cafe....but the FLIES this summer in xbos were awful. They were beyond a nuisance. Really gross.

first the good: my 3 yr old son had an absolute blast. facility was clean. cafe food was fresh and portions were large. maze is large enough for parents if the need to go in after a child.

cons: the front door leading to the parking lot is the automatic kind you see at grocery stores and airports ... where you get within a few feet and they slide open. this is a no brainer folks. you have 150 kids running arounds a 3-story maze on a weekend and if you turn for a second you lose track of them. and many sections of the maze are opaque so you cant follow your child once they're in there. when you go with a toddler who likes to climb, it's very stressful because they disappear in the maze and you know the automatic front door isnt going to keep them in the building. there is a door between the maze and the arcade / front door -- but I frequently saw older kids holding it open.

also the staff are a bunch of kids who would rather talk amongst themselves. not attentive.

the token machine only accepted $5, $10 and $20 bills. not $1 bills. maybe it was broken but there was no sign on it.

would I bring my son back? yes. but only when he's a little older unless my husband comes. and dont think about bringing a small child with a baby. it's mayhem in there with no place to sit and relax if your kid is in the softplay area.
