The Pennsburg Diner is a good place to go for comfort food. I usually get liver and they give you a huge portion. The staff is very friendly. A little cramped.

The New Pennsburg diner (under 'new' better ownership for a few years now) recently went SMOKE FREE! What an improvement to an already friendly, fast, and downright delicious diner! The menu has classic diner items, but also offers some pretty incredible dishes you wouldn't expect to find at a small town diner. We go their for breakfast at least once a week..the coffee is a great blend, breakfast is always hot, and the staff knows alot of customers by first name. The salad bar is small but always fresh. The floor is clean, not greasy, and the wait staff is efficient. Definetly give it a try!

A small town diner. It is small, sometimes crowded and smokey. It's convenient if you are coming from the bar, or healing a hangover. Other than that, there is better places to grab a quick bite for a small price in town.

Now, I'm a diner fan. I mean, I love me some fine dining too, but there's something about a diner that I just love. And this is the diner that I grew up with. It's in my hometown. I was there every weeknight all through high school, regularly when home on vacation from college, and now occasionally with my Mom. And comparing it to other diners... well, it doesn't compare. Granted I don't expect a lot in terms of food from a diner. But this one is extra special greasy, the food is more processed instead of fresh than average. The service is usually reasonably timely, but often kind of surly. The smoke from the front of the diner permeates the non-smoking dining room, too. All in all, not much to recommend it, short of occasionally reliving memories of late night coffee and french fry binges with the one really cool waitress who used to be there.
