This place was great - my hair color has never looked as natural as when I had it done at New Wave.

I'd recommend it for everyone!

Treat yourself and make an appt to have one of the hair sylists at NWNC work their miracle on your hair. I have been having Lovey at NWNC work miracles on my hair for over 15 years. She is an expert at color, cutting and styling. A few years ago, I had Lovey style my hair for my sister-in-law's wedding. No one had hair as beautifully styled as me. I had my hair styled up on my head to look dressy, as did all the bridesmaids. By the middle of the reception, all of the bridesmaids were having trouble with their hair failing down, but, not me. I had lots of people ask me where I had my hair styled. The salon has a friendly atmosphere with everyone making you feel at home whether you are a new client of old regular client. I highly recommend this salon.

NWNC is a first class salon, and I strongly recommend all of their services. I am a long-standing client of the salon and have been thrilled since day one. Lovey, one of the principals of the salon, is awesome! Her technical abilities are superior; her personality is infectious. Lovey is always upbeat, and such a pleasure! The NWNC's stylists (including the principals) participate in continuing education and regularly attend hair and product shows. This is key to me. I like knowing that if I want something new and fresh, Lovey will make that happen without hesitating; however, if the style I ask for isn't in my best interest, Lovey take the time to explain the pros and cons of the cut/color in comparison to my skin tone, facial structure, etc. Lovey takes pride in her work, and it shows when I walk out the door. The NWNC staff are warm and welcoming. The receptionist, Rosalie, is such a pleasant voice to hear on the other end of the telephone. Rosalie is a magician when it comes to working the book. Lovey is very flexible with her schedule and if she needs to come in early, stay late, or fit me in, she does so without hesitation. The prices are extremely reasonable for the first class service. My girlfriend goes to a "high-end salon" in Philadelphia and pays over $250 for cut and color. $250 for a cut and color every 6 weeks is not in my budget, and the funny thing is she always compliments my cut and color and tries to duplicate it (but comes up short)!NWNC's new location in Valley Forge Towers is so convenient with ample parking. A total win-win for me!I would highly recommend this salon.

I always liked the way an associate's hair was done and asked her where she went... It was New Waves New Colors in KOP. I'd been hunting around for a good stylist who knew what he/she was doing AND didn't cost and arm and a leg. (I'd gone to a really good salon in Limerick, PA but would walk out paying $200 for cut, color, highlights... WAY too much for my budget since I need my roots done every 4 weeks)

Everyone's budget is different so I'll specify prices so you can decide for yourself it it'll work for you.

I was thrilled from the first time I went to NWNC and scheduled monthly appointments (some combination of roots touch up, highlights, cut) for the 4 months leading up to our move in Jan '07. Looking back thru my checkbook I paid $40 for a haircut appt, $80 for cut/color appt, and $130 for cut, color, highlights. These prices all include ~20% tip and were done by the owner. I guess less experienced stylists would be less, but you should ask.

I was very happy with the work Steven did and have gotten many compliments! Since moving we've returned to the area to visit family every 6 months and I always schedule my appointment with Steven. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

They don't take credit cards, just cash and checks. But this minor inconvenience isn't an issue when you find someone who does an awesome job!

One thing to note, they moved this year (2007) to a new location - Valley Forge Towers at the intersection of Rte 422 and Rte 23. Their address doesn't seem to be updated here yet.
