About a week ago my husband hurt his shoulder at work. We ended up having to go to St. Vincent. We got a little lost but a nurse was more than happy to walk us to where we needed to be. After filling out our paperwork and waiting for a while we were finally taken back. My husband and I were put in this room/storage room. People were constantly coming in and out, some of them ignoring us like we weren't there and some were at least respectful and said excuse me.

As my husband and I waited, we noticed that there was dried blood all over the bottom of the bed. Like blood splatter and it was in the wheels and little drops were on the floor. There was a good amount of blood there, and since it was dried out, it had to be there for a while. It was disgusting.

The doctors were alright; did thier job and nothing else. And it took forever just to get anything done.

Overall its what I expected, waiting and being brished off by doctor after doctor. But the blood all over the bed and floor?! Ew.

My son has been sick since he was 3 weeks old. We visit St. Vincent Mercy Medical every 3 months to check his status. The staff is excellent. They help us immediately, take us to his room, and down to the technician room for ultrasounds and x-rays. We are usually in and out within 1 hour. Takes me longer to drive to the hospital then the actually visit. The staff makes the visit absolutely wonderful.

We were directed to St. Vincent's for my son. He was to take an upper GI. We were given some poor directions when we arrived, so things did not start off well. After we got lost, we met a super freindly nurse, who walked us where we needed to go after calling ahead and explaining our, by now, lateness. The correct unit was staffed with nurses and docotrs who made us all comfortable. What could have been a problem became much easier. Recommended highly.
