Just curious... has anyone been to this restaurant lately and have they improved? I was looking for a BYOB to eat close to their location so I called and asked if they have improved their service. The answer I was given was so aloof

I am not a huge fan of this restaurant. I've been there two times, and the food is only marginal, and the service isn't that great. It needs some work.

We had a discount coupon so we chose to ignore the negative reviews. Dinner was a celebration and we were in good spirits, helped along by an excellent bottle of wine (they have a byob policy). \r
Our server was a bright, pleasant young

After putting on one million pounds right in the middle of my tummy this past year I decided to go on a diet. However, I only eat tasty food. Here is where Farmacia becomes my hero for brunch. Man, talk about great food that's good for you. You just can't go wrong.

We went to Farmicia for restaurant week with two other couples. Our meals were very good but we could tell here and there that they weren't at their prime. My salad was underdressed. Service was slow. That sort of thing. However we all enjoyed our meals very much and appreciated the local and organic emphasis. They had a great beer and wine list including some very good craft draft beers. I'd like to go back in the summer when more things are in season and see if that's where they shine.

This is clearly the best bread in the city. The methods they use (A liquid yeast starter) make the flavors sing. The breads are crusty, chewy and tasty--everything good bread should be. The shops are also very cute and have that old world feel. They are consistent and creative. I love everything about them!

The bread from Metropolitan Bakery is the best in the city. If you haven't tried the French berry roll or multigrain bread, you don't know what you're missing.

Pros: Fresh food, Good selection, Good coffee

I went to the Pine street location (there is also one in Reading Terminal) and my soy latte was awesome!!!! The only down side is it was cash only, I went in august so maybe it has since changed. I have tried many many coffee shops in the city and this is the best for espresso drinks so far. If you love black coffee I recommend Passero's they have a few locations, my favorite is in Suburban Station! Go to either place and enjoy a cup o' joe!
