I wish the Problems I had with my Teeth were as simple as choosing which tooth whitening product to subject them to. However I arrived at Aspen Dental in Dickson City in late February, in trouble. The decay in my Teeth was passively killing me. My experience with the Staff at this location was warm, respectful, compassionate, helpful, and highly skilled. For less that what it would have cost to bury me, they gave me both my life and smile back.I may not have been the easiest Patient, but I could be in the running for most Grateful. Thank you so much.Rebbecca Dodson, Carbon-dale, PA

Aspen in Scranton/Dickson City is just a big rip-off dentist supermarket. Dont go! I went in there for just a routine check-up and they sold me on this High-Teac periodontal deep cleaning graded me on a point system that made me a less then middle of the road candidate, meaning my teeth are not so bad. I ended up having them do the High-Teac cleaning that cost me over $1200 and my insurance would only pay $300 of it because most of the services that they did was not recognized or medically necessary according to my insurance company. Makes you wonder? Now with billing, I been fighting back and forth with them for a over payment of a special electric tooth brush that they billed me for but I felt my Oral-B was good enough. So my service was in January of 2009 and here it is April, I am still getting the run around with billing and requesting for a refund for the brush. I just moved here from NY and always my old dentist and other dentist I went to told me my teeth are good. I never have any pain in my mouth.
I feel I ended up getting burned for a $900 teeth-cleaning job from Aspen that would have gotten paid by my insurance if it was just that. I would not recommend going to Aspen dental if you dont want to get into high-pressured sales of stuff you dont need. Aspen to me is like a Dentist supermarket franchise of product that probably you dont need but pressured to get because they get perks on selling them from the pharmaceuticals. Your first time visit with them you will feel you are at a time share seminar. Guaranteed.
You know your drafted response insults me and its NOT true. I called Aspens several times both between billing and the actual office. Everytime I was passed around and no one at Aspen would take the extra step to do the math and correct my billing. It took me to complaint to the BBB and my Discover card for me to get my refund from Aspens billing errors. Going on 4 months it is still not right! What gets me, with times and business as bad as they arethis year, you would think someone at Aspen would make a call to call me to get this resolved quickly. NOT you! More and more when talking about this matter at work. I find other who can commiserate and agree with me that Aspen is pretty bad with customer service. Lets face it, Allot of people do not have great dental insurance. And you guys are taking advantage of the public. Your new commercials make me laugh.

I went to aspen Dental in Scranton for Dentures. I was quoted a price and then pressured into using their "Care Credit". Well, what a mistake!!! I now have a balance with care credit that is twice the amount of what I was quoted! I have been trying to get this corrected since the time of service and what a run around I am given. They keep admitting that there is an error but can't seem to get it corrected. On top of that they reported me to the credit bureau during the first two months of trying to get the balance with credit care to reflect the correct balance. This started back in november 2008 and still is not corrected. I am going to have to go to the better buisness bureau and the attorney generals office just to get some action. Be aware of their care credit and billing practices.

I go to Aspen dental for my annual checkups and any repairs that I need done. The dentists are very thorough and do a good job cleaning my teeth without making it too painful. I've had to get a few cavities filled here but they always make sure I cannot feel any pain before they start working. The dentist and assistants are nice and always remember me from each visit to the next. The prices are pretty good, and I never have to pay too much out of pocket after my healthcare kicks in.
