Recently stayed at Hot Tub Heaven and had a blast. The cabin easily exceeded our expectations--was clean, cozy, had all the amenities you'd need for a few days (towels, sheets, cookware, etc). The scenery was beautiful. There are so many things to do in the area, but just relaxing in the hot tub, inside the cabin, or out on the deck was enough.

Will definitely be returning someday..

My friends and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Hot Tub Heaven (or HTH to those in the know!) We are going for our fourth time in a year this weekend - we've been in the fall, spring and summer, and all were great. We've stayed in #9, #4, and #6. #9 is our favorite - very nice kitchen and dining area. #4 is nice and roomy with 2 floors - we are going back there again this weekend for that reason. It has a really nice wood burning stove too. #6 is a little small, mainly the kitchen, but was still nice. The screened gazebo on the deck at #6 was great for keeping the mosquitos away in July. All cabins are close to hiking and canoeing options, and there's a great winery down the road. Even on rainy days we have had great times - they provide multiple board games, and record players at #9 and #4 (yes, I said record players.. kind of retro, but was fun). The hottubs are all roomy and relaxing after a long day of hiking. The kitchens are well stocked, and the beds are comfy. The dogs absolutely love the place - and especially appreciate the gates on the decks so they can hang out unleashed while we're enjoying the outdoors. Can't say enough about it - I know we'll be back many many times.

We stayed in Chalet #2 and found it to be very cozy and well-stocked with everything you might need on a cabin vacation. I could tell the owners put a lot of time and effort into decorating and preparing the cabin. From firewood to shampoo to an iron, I was impressed with the cabin's commodities. The hot tub was amazing and was definitely worth the trip- it was so relaxing! The only thing that stood in the way of our having a great trip was that the beds are *very* uncomfortable. They are *way* too small to accommodate two adults comfortably and seemed to be comprised of very cheap mattresses and rough, low quality sheets. My husband and I reluctantly moved to separate beds in the middle of the night after an uncomfortable attempt at sleeping together. Additionally, the hot tub has a automatic jet that comes on every five to ten minutes (there isn't a way to shut it off without shutting the hot tub off altogether). Even though the hot tub is on the porch, the vibration and sound of the jets reverberated throughout the house all night long and I was awoken with a start several times in the night. At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, it was like sleeping in a carwash. It was so bad we decided to come home a night early. We did have a good time, but we won't be coming back.

Business Response:

Oh no! So sorry to read this... We have been in business for 9 years and we are so proud to say that 35% of our business is from return guests! In fact, as of today, spring 2009, we're getting ready to open our 7th and 8th properties because of our growing business! We are happy to read that this guest found the home well stocked as that is one of our goals and promises! But it is stated on the website that the beds are full-size beds - in every cabin - so the guest had the opportunity to know that in advance of their stay - so that they found them too small is unfortunate. Regarding the hot tub... it was one the rare times that the hot tub actually needed our attention. Had the guests called us, we could have fixed the problem for them right away! Calling us is something we encourage our guests to do - anytime - if they need anything at all! Future guests! Please call us during your stay if you need anything! We live minutes away from any of the Cabins and are available to you. Folks reading this and considering staying with us please do come... you'll have a lovely time. And when you visit our website, www.HTHVA.com, you'll be able to read tons of positive happy guest comments! Bye for now!
