Love it. Just like the hardware stores from out where I grew up - tiny, jam-packed and got almost everything you could want. The folks there are helpful and polite, but usually busy with customers; you just wait your turn if you can't find what you want on your own. In 20 years of going there, I've never heard any of the staff be unpleasant, let alone rude. If you want quick small-engine repair or service, though, Lehman's may not be your best bet, especially in springtime when they have a big backlog of mowers, weedwhackers and etc. - the work is fine, but it can take a couple of weeks for the repair guy to get to yours. The upshot is, for friendly, local and small-town service, Lehman's is great; if you want big-box stores, you can find a Lowe's or whatever in driving distance. Me, I prefer to support my community whenever possible.

Please don't confuse this store with http://www.lehmans.com, a completely different company that is owned by people who understand what REAL customer service is! They always treat me great over there!

I was very upset with this business's customer service. I dropped off a lawnmower and it sat there for 9+ days. They never gave me a status update. When I called (twice) to inquire when it would be ready they didn't know.

The staff treats you like you just ruined their whole day when you walk in the front door. Then when you drop off your Mower for Warranty work (Toro dealership) you must leave a $30 deposit. After all is said and done they advise you it will take over 3 weeks to look at it? You leave the shop feeling like some one just slapped you in the back of the head. I then went to Bainsville Mower, no deposit, very pleasant, Thanked me and advised me it would be worked on in within a week. Do youself a favor and stay away from this shop

i have done business with this company nore than once and every time they have screwed something up they gave me an estimate to repair my lawn mower when i showed up the bill was twice that of the estimate and today i called ahead and asked if they would mount a tire on my tractor they said yes when i showed up the person who i understand to be the owner started yelling at me a customer i was cursed at and told that if i wasn't going to buy the tire at his store i could get the f**k out and that didn't want my business i was appalled at the treatment i which i received to refuse to do something is one thing but to curse and yell at customers is another BEWARE i will never return even if they are the last store on the planet.

Lehman's Hardware is a tiny, jam-packed hardware store right out of another era. Every aisle is full of hardware STUFF - you name it, they've got it, in a smaller space than you'd imagine could hold it all. The owners and staff are really amazingly helpful (which is great, because no way would you find anything without help!), and the prices beat the big chains hands-down. Parking is limited but usually available.
