I drove three hours to see the Flecktones at the Keswick last night, and while the Flecktones put on a top notch show, I would never, ever return to the Keswick, even if that's where Jesus decided to have the second coming. Here's why:

First and foremost, the staff (especially the security there) are obnoxious, rude, and condescending. Case in point: the Flecktones always come out after the show and sit on the edge of the stage to say hello to the fans, sign CDs, get pictures taken, etc. At one point during this "meet-n-greet" the security guards started making fun of the people who stuck around after the show to meet the band and get things signed. Yes, they really started joking loudly amongst themselves about how pathetic they thought these people were; talk about rude and unprofessional.

So do yourself a favor, and don't bother going to the Keswick -- you'll be a lot happier for it if you just stay at home.

love this place. hadn't been in a few years but went recently to see jenny lewis. i have always loved this place. great atmosphere. old architecture for you to gawk at. usually has a respectable list of artists. lately it's been very XPNish, but i have faith they will keep branching out. it also helps that i now live two blocks from the joint. definitely a must go if there is a band or comedian you have a slight interest in seeing.

Old school theater, that creates a beautiful experience. This place has been around forever, and you feel the spirit attending a program inside. Attracts all variety of live bands and shows. Experience it.

Its not huge like going to a stadium but its bigger than a coffeehouse. There almost isn't a bad seat in the house. The artist that I saw had mentioned something about the accoustics being funny in this particular theater but I didn't notice anything unusal. Refreshments are the a little below the typical jacked up prices that you will see at most venues. I would love to go back again when there is another act I would like to see.

You step back in time the moment you enter this theater. Although it is still slightly shabby looking this beautiful old theater is slowly being restored. Every seat offers a great view. The staff there is also incredibleso friendly and caring. I think they genuinely love their jobs. I have seen a variety of shows in this theaterfrom improve comedy to rock shows like Queensryche to folk like the Indigo girls.every show is great because it is such an intimate setting. So much better than stadium seating where you need binoculars to see the person you paid a ticket to see. Prices are INCREDIBLY good as well. The parking lot is small, so you might want to get there early to grab a close spot .
