Aardvark's Odd Ark

Cool stuff. Cheap! They got everything man. Vinatge, new, old. Place is huge. People there are decent and nice and very helpful. The easy going nature of the San Francisco folks so very welcome in todays world!

They have everything, from military uniforms to vintage jewelry to kimonos, 1950s prom dresses, and unusual hats galore. Prices are high, but you won't find a more unique selection anywhere.

While looking for a costume for my daughter, we visited the haight ashbury district and come across this gem of a store. Feathers galore. It is an absolute fun store to browse with your teenager. We found some cute and unique stuff to go with her costume.

The other day I made a trip to San Fransisco. I wanted to check out the Haight St area. While there we went to a lot of the funky shops. One was Aardvark's Odd Ark. The people i was with and I all LOVE thrift shops. This one would have been really cool BUT it was just to loud! Cool items, decent prices, but to loud of a shop to really spend enough time in. The staff was not very helpful either. There are other places in the area I enjoyed more then Aardvark's Odd Ark.

This is a great thrift shop to visit for unusual styles or if you are looking for a great costume. The store carries vintage, retro and unusual styles. It's not your regular thrift shop. There's something for just about everyone, including lingerie, feather boas and evening wear, but be warned that you won't find the usual thrift shop clothing here. Great inventory, very low prices.

PROS: Very low prices, unusual items
CONS: Merchandise is a little offbeat
