the donut stop

Ignore all unscientific polls weighted to the trendy areas .... Donut Stop on non-trendy Lemay Ferry is my first choice. You can tell a good donut store by the employees. The number of them. Donut Stop has a zillion, swarming around that little place like flies.

The Donut Stop puts any of the large franchise chains to shame. You MUST try the glazed donut with the cheesecake-like topping. Unbelievable! They also have the best fritters in town. I eat healthy, but the Donut Stop is my favorite place to splurge once in a while. It's definitely worth running an extra mile or two the next day!
St. Louis has a lot of great little treasures. I put the Donut Stop right up there with the best of 'em.

I like this donut stop more than your Krispy Kreme or other similar high priced franchises. The baked goods taste better and the price is more reasonable. This is their only location but it is convenient for those who live in South County. But it is worth the extra little drive to visit this establishment. They also have a large variety of doughnuts and convenient hours. Friendly and helpful staff too.

PROS: Price, taste, service, selection
CONS: Only one location

We walk to this establishment often and really enjoy each visit. The kids adore peering through the glass cases and choosing the perfect treat, and I love that they always throw in a few donut holes to munch on the walk home. I end up with 3 sticky kids, but the trip is always worth it. Thanks Donut Stop! I wish you were open later though!

In Saint Louis everyone always talks about Krispy Kremes, but for those that are looking for the old original cake donut taste, look no further than this little hole in the wall in South County. The donuts are freshly baked with a very wide selection, with great bargain pricing. In fact, this place is so popular that you will often see the parking lot fill up, esp. on Sunday mornings.

Don't miss this great gem!
