CostCo Warehouse

I had heard glowing reviews of this place and joined based on them. My experience with Costco was less then stellar, to say the least. Its selection of products is incredibly limited when compared to other warehouse chains-not to mention non-membership stores. The quality of the merchandise is average at best. The prices are actually more comparable to regular stores than its main competitor. I didn't expect much in the way of customer service from a warehouse chain, but Costco is really bad in this area. The store is marginally staffed, which explains a lot of its problems when it comes to checking out. You could spend twenty minutes in line, easily, on busy days. Overall, this place isn't worth the price of membership.

I am a regular Costco customer and have frequented them here and in CA but the photo department at this particular location needs a class in customer service. I complained after my last visit. They pretty much ignore you until you demand to be helped.

I've gone to Costco to get my passport photos taken for my license renewal. As I waited in line until my turn, this lady, JOAN was working there unpleasantly looked up at me without saying anything. With here frowning face gesturing to me if I wanted something. I informed her that I'd like to get my passport photos taken. She replied, I need your membership card. After she gave me back my card, she said, It's $5.38, and swipe your card and go over there. She was snappy, rude and seem very unhappy to be doing her job. As to this point, I felt sick to my stomach that she was so mean and so rude to me. I walked to the other side awaiting to take my photos. She came out with the camera in her hands not saying anything to me as though I am supposed to know what to do or that she's ready for me. I just sat there and she started to take my picture. I began to smile and she shouted out "No Smiles" . You can not smile! After she was done, she said , It'll be 5 minutes. I came home that night and felt so insulted. This lady treated me as if I was a criminal, not a valuable customer and a human being. She should adjust her attitude and ethics and Costco should not employ people like JOAN.

Here is a shoppers paraddise. Love price, medium quality, and acres of cement floors. Costco is a meembersip house, but, they offer great buys. Only problem is you must buy in bulk.

We've bought a new dining room table that we could not find at any furniture store in town and the price was reasonable. We bought a new alum-cast patio set there, too, and a TV for the dining room. You never know what they have but take the time to walk the furniture area. You can go online prior to going to the "store" to review what could be available.

PROS: Prices can match/beat sale prices elsewhere
CONS: Membership store
