Dr. Amy Sigman is definitely an OB/GYN that I would recommend to anyone. She cares about her patients and makes sure you are informed to determine the right course of action for you. For example, I called the on call doctor on a weekend with some concerns about my 2nd pregnancy. On Monday, I received a call from Dr. Sigman telling me she found out about my call and wanted to make sure that I came in that day to see her - that she would make sure I could get in. Of course, I generally have to wait a little while once I arrive for my appointment but I don't know any good doctor you don't have to wait a little for. And the wait time is never anything extravagant.

I was new in town. I had my previous doctor for over 20 years so I was somewhat apprehensive. But after one officec visit I no longer felt that way. Dr Sigman is great! She took the time to meet with me and really listen. I did not feel rushed at all. She genuinely cares about her patients. She has excellent communication skills and explained my upcoming surgery in detail. After my surgery, I was at home recovering - she called me at home to check on me.
I highly recomend her. She is truly gifted and is a blessing to all that see her! Definitely an Excellent Doctor!

Dr. Sigman was very kind and patient. She took time to discuss my concerns and questions. But, the staff and nurses at the hospital were so rude and unkind that after 2 visits I switched Doctors and hospitals. I am much happier now to have more attention and care.

Dr. Sigman delivered my son in June, and did an excellent job of managing my health as well as monitoring the baby's health. I'm 38 and experienced some pretty intense swelling, and my son was born with a cleft lip so there was extra amniotic fluid to keep an eye on as well. When my blood pressure shot up, she immediately induced (I was term) and was there every step of the way when we ran into some mild complications during delivery - the NICU was asked to be on standby just in case. Afterwards, I had some issues with bringing my body 'back on line' and ended up having 4 catheters during my stay (NOT recommended with all that swelling by the way!!). She stopped by the next morning and really talked with me about all of that. Her bedside manner is that of a friend's, and she really knows what she's doing and manages exceptions well so that there are few surprises. I highly recommend her and can't wait to have her care for my next pregnancy as well.

Dr.Sigman is a good Dr. The staff in her office is so rude and not even Dr.Sigman would do something about it. The surgery scheduler is very very rude. Her nurse and all the nurses are very rude and very negligent. I expressed my concerns with Dr.Sigman and she didnt seem to care. As good of a Dr as she is I just refuse to go back to her. The staff is so rude that I refuse to give them anymore of my money. I even had a talk with the office manager who is useless. Hate to loose such a good Dr over that pathetic staff but if she dont care than neither should I

I have been a patient of Dr. Sigman's for about 5 years now and I could not imagine going anywhere else! She is very thorough and makes you feel like an actual person instead of just a number. I highly recommend her!

Initially I was referred to a male OBGYN at the same practice. Eight months after my annual exam I experienced an aggressive case of hemorrhoids and was clueless. The only Doctor who was able to see me on such short notice was Dr. Amy Sigman. She was personable, did not belittle my ignorance and I left thinking, "I wish she was my OBGYN" A few months later my male OBGYN retired and immediately I requested Dr. Sigman.

In 2001 we learned I have polysistic ovarian disease. I had been attending annual exams for more than 6 years and none of the other physicians considered my concerns about infrequent periods. Dr. Sigman was the first OBGYN to explore further and explained why symptoms might have been overlooked in the past.

I recently got married and while I had never wanted to have children, my husband and I decided we would try to have one child. My first annual exam after my wedding Dr. Sigman cheerily asked if I had reconsidered having children and wanted to know what questions I had. She patiently answered my as well as my husband's list of questions. Dr. Sigman was honest about the risks of waiting too long (I am 37) because of my ovarian issues. If we are able to have a child I can think of no one other than Dr. Sigman to doctor me and my husband along our pregnancy.

I first went to Dr. Sigman's office in the fall of 1999. At that time, I had a 9 month old baby. I had been a patient of an OBGYN at Presby Dallas and my experience with him was horrendous.

A family member recommended Dr. Amy's office and I just happened to choose Dr. Amy because I wanted a woman Dr. and at the time she was the only one on staff.

I could not have been more thrilled. I have endometriosis and had trouble conceiving. She really listened to me and what my thoughts were on what I wanted to try - because right away I wanted to try for another baby.

I suffered a miscarriage in November of 1999 - she was there for me - and as anyone knows it is a very emotional time. In January 2000 I returned for my annual check up. We talked and decided to put me on the progesterone supplement Prometrium. That very month I conceived my second child and I was shocked. Dr. Amy had warned me that "it might take 4-5 months"!

I then continued to see her in the following years for my GYN health.

I recently moved to Fort Worth after a career change and re-marriage. I saw a Dr. here and boy was I disappointed. I hope to switch back to Dr. Amy. Even if it means driving all the way from Ft. Worth and paying out of network insurance co-pays.

Just to mention, I am now a registered nurse and know the importance of having a Dr. that truly listens to her patients. Dr. Amy is one in a million.

I have been going to Dr. Sigman for about 7 years, and she is the best OB/GYN I have ever been to. She has an excellent bedside manner, and she will talk to you as long as you need her to and she explains eveything in a way that you can understand. I have referred many friends to her, and they all love her too. I only hope that when we start our family, we will still be living in Dallas so she can deliver my baby! I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a new doctor.

I have PCOS and it can be really hard finding a good, knowledgeable Dr, but she is-I felt comfortable with her from the moment I started talking to her. I was referred to her by my plastic surgeon for a breast reduction and have since switched her to be my OBGYN. She's incredible. I can't wait till we start trying to conceive-she really knows her stuff.

PROS: Awesome, Knowlegeable female Dr.
CONS: The only pblm I have ever had was with her office staff, rude and forgetful

A friend recommended Dr. Amy to me recently when I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd child, as my original OB had retired. She spoke very highly of her, so I looked forward to meeting her.

Our experience with Dr. Amy has been fantastic, even only 2 visits into our prenatal care. She's easygoing, friendly, casual, empowering, focused on the best care for her patients, and full of good advice. As a mom herself, she gets all the little weirdnesses we pregos are going through, and she spends whatever time is needed in your visits with her.

I could not be happier with being her patient, and feel confident and RELAXED knowing she's on our side. Definitely call and make an appointment if you're in the market for an OB/GYN. You will NOT be disappointed.

PROS: Great attitude, focused on best patient care, easygoing manner
CONS: See her early! She spends a lot of time with her patients. :)

I've struggled with endometriosis since age 11. I've had at least 5 full abdominal surgeries and a few years back finally was forced to have a full hysterectomy at age 27. When I first started seeing Dr.Sigman she understood endometriosis and we discussed all options. I decided to have a hysterectomy against her wishes. While on the operating table the day of surgery I got nervous and cancelled my surgery. Dr.Sigman completely understood and we chose to do a removal of one ovary and tube.Shortly after that surgery I started feeling awful. Dr.Sigman decided to just check my urine and blood. OH MY GOSH...I was pregnant. She looked like she was going to cry when she broke the news to me. 9 months later she delivered my beautiful healthy baby boy. I never got to thank her.....So I am now. Thank you for being so gentle, real, and understanding.

My first visit with Dr. Amy I told her of my scary family history of cancer. Cancer killed my Mother in 18 months and Aunt in 12. This family cancer of ours NEVER shows any signs that it's present until it's to late, and youre given the death sentence. It sucks when you KNOW that you have a huge cancer target on your uterus. Dr. Amy placed me on her aggressive checkup list. I saw her every 6 months. When I developed a small problem I checked in with Dr. Amy and she ran blood tests. My tests came back fine, but Dr. Amy asked me to "humor her" and decided to do a biopsy in the office, right then and there. (Btw-a very painful procedure)The very next day she called me with my results, "CANCER". Argh!!! If Dr. Amy hadnt preformed the biopsy I'd be dead and not writing this review. I was in stage 3, with 4 types of cancer, all high grades. We women know that seeing the OB/GYN is a drag, but I would have rathered "Cowgirled Up", got into those stirrups, then have had to deal with this cancer mess. So "Cowgirl Up" with Dr Amy. She maybe a small women, but she mighty in my book. I owe her my life. -Thanks Dr. Amy, you ROCK!! My HERO
