Ive had great experiences at El Charro my favorite dish is the chicken chimichanga i know that the waiters try and keep the place clean but how can you when theres ppl coming in and out. I noticed they made current remodeling the place looks better than before and about roaches i've never seen any. The restrooms have always been clean. They have a friendly staff who are willing to change your order if it was done incorrectly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

For Tex-Mex it is pretty good. Lunch service is usually better than dinner service. Some items are priced too high, but Wednesday enchilada special is very reasonable and you can mix and match flavors.

I will not eat here again. The food is good, but does not compensate for the BAD service. We have ate here several times, but the last time took the cake. We had around 10 people, they were not busy there were only 2 other tables. We had to ask for refills on our drinks and chips every time. When they finally did refill our stuff they walked away mumbling in Spanish. They got our order wrong did not want to fix it. Was not happy at all. Spent a lot of money. But we decided not to tip. They actually followed us outside and said "Nice Tip". I simply told them it fit the service we got none.

El Charro serves the old style Mexican food like you would find in Cozumel. Many of the waiters speak limited English but they are friendly and usually very busy during lunch and dinner hours. They have a good menu with lots of choices (both entrees and a la carte) and you get alot of food for the price. I usually take half my food home for another meal. The chips and salsa are fresh and they have the white cheese dip (queseo) which will be brought upon request. I'm getting hungry just thinking about the food!

PROS: Alot of Food for the Money
CONS: Sometimes it's hard to communicate with the new waiters
