My wife and I really enjoy this skating rink in the winter. I know that there are larger rinks in other cities, but they are all indoors. I love that this one is outside near the river. It gives an atmosphere to the rink that others don't have. The employees are very friendly (although they tend to be a bit self-absorbed when it comes time to clean the rink). Overall, a great place.

This is a great family-firendly place. The best way to go is with your own skates (it's only $3 then, you don't pay extra $2 for every rental, your own real skates don't hurt the legs at all, and you can sharpen them at the center for $5) on colder winter evenings - if they don't close due to lack of people before you come, you'll have the entire rink to yourself! On sunny winter weekends, though, the place is a veritable zoo, with tiny tots trying to skate among near-pros using upsided buckets... There's also hot chocolate in the lounge, and beware: they Zambony the rink every hour - come to get fresh ice!
