Take your camera, the kids get to run and play. But their is a lot to see and do, and everyone will have fun. They have a beautiful carousel, pedal boats, remote control boats and a train. Its a great place to spend the day with the family. Great walking trail too.

Pullen park is my favorite park. I have been going there since i was about 5. I love the little "lake" next to the swings. Now that im older, i go there to ride the train (very manly lol) and sometimes go on the swings with my little sister. The first swing looking to your left when you enter the park isnt that good, so i would advise not using it.

I love this park, the concession stand and the tickets for the rides are very reasonable. The gardens are gorgeous, there is a train ride, and boat ride as well as the carousel, you can also rent paddle boats. So much stuff to do there with the kids, they never seem to get bored there. A fun and inexpensive way to spend an afternoon with your family!

Pullen Park has been a park that my family has gone to for many generations. Even though the place seems worned down, kids are still able to have fun. There is a little train you can ride that circles the whole park. There is also a carousel or "merry-go-round" that kids can ride, and there are also paddle boats. Going up stairs to the upper level of the park, there are large areas of grass and sheltered picnic tables where families can have picnics. Swingsets and slides are also offered, but it is obvious they are out-dated. When looking for a park in the triangle, Pullen Park is a great choice; it has been enjoyed by kids and families for generations.

Pullen Park is a wonderful place to go to spend family time. The park is beautiful, surrounded by grassy hills and trees. There are great picnic spots and even covered picnic areas that you can reserve for birthday parties, family reunions, etc.
I am really impressed with the fact that the attractions and food at Pullen Park are so inexpensive. The rides only cost $1 per person per ride. There's an antique carousel, children's boat ride and a family train ride around the park. There are paddle boats you can rent inexpensively too. When we were there in the middle of the hot summer, we bought snow cones for 25 cents apiece!! That's a deal!!! There's no admission charge and there are plenty of swings and playground equipment available to use at no charge, so there's plenty to do there without even spending a penny.

Pullen Park has been around since before I was born, more than 20 years. It provides leisure activities for those of all ages. For kids there are slides, swingsets, carousel, and a working tour train that encircles the whole park. There are also paddle boats for thsoe that want to relax on top of the lake. There are also facilities that have pools, which usually host swim lessons and swim competitions. Food concession stands are available and parking is widely available. There is always some sort of promotional event occuring there. The only downside is that the park is kind of outdated, the equipment such as the swing sets and slides can be upgraded. But overall, great place to bring kids to have fun, since it is in the middle of a crowded city.
PROS: Great place to bring kids to have fun
CONS: Outdated equipment.

I've been going to Pullen Park ever since I was a small child. My daughter absolutely loves it! She loves to ride the "hobby horses" and the train. As a smaller child, the boats were her favorite. The park is very clean and you can even rent paddle boats during the warm weather. It is an ideal place for a family to have a picnic and enjoy a cool fall day or a warm spring afternoon!

Pullen Park is one of our favorite places to go when it is nice outside. My children love the rides - the merry-go-round, little boats and train. Each of these rides requires tickets which you buy at the little ticket booth at the park. We usually spend about $10 for four of us to ride once on the train, once on the merry-go-round and one ride for the 2 kids on the little boats. You can rent paddle boats and paddle your way around the little lake/pond. Lots of swings here. Could use a few more baby swings though. There are plenty of picnic areas. This is a great place for birthday parties, too.

Great Park with something for Everyone!
by Anonymous
Pullen Park is fun for everyone! This is my absolute favorite park in Raleigh! There are plenty of activities for people of all ages. There are paddle boats, a carousel, ducks and playgrounds. The only downside is that on the weekends the park will get very crowded and parking can be difficult. But it is worth it!
