Don't do business with these guys. Check their rating with the better business bureau a big "F". They rip you off, their prices are horrible, I bought a car last Sunday and what they do they confuse you with the deal and rip you off.
I test drove a car and after we made the deal they told me they cannot give me that car because it is $2500 more!!! False Advertising. They even promise some free stuff and they wouldn't honor that. The sales people are just a bunch of lairs. Especially in internet sales department, a person called Mickey and the manager Tony. Don't ever do business with them. I lost $3000 over three years leasing a pathfinder from these guys. I will file a claim with BBB although they have an F rating with BBB!!!

If you want the worst car experience and enjoyed being lied to, then this is the place for you. The old bait and switch routine is alive and well here. I bout a 2011 Nissan Frontier from these crooks because no one else had the color/options I was looking for on short notice. No one knew where the truck was, then they couldn't find the truck they said they had, and then when I pulled out of the deal in the finance office after all was said and done, they wouldn't give me back my deposit check. had to come back the following day where they then couldn't find my file. In the end I gave up and bought the truck. Worst experience ever.

I haven't had any problems with Universal City Nissan. In fact they saved my life last summer. I was without a car in LOS ANGELES of all places for about a month and a half and walked in with the very little down payment had and drove off the lot in the car that wanted. Granted I was there all day, but for the 5.5 hrs I was there, I would have spent that on public transportation anyway.

I had never financed a car before and they walked me through the process and even after when I had questions, they answered everything. The service department is great too. When I need my oil changed I can get an appointment immediately-no hassle.

I would say that your chances of no having to get a cosigner are better if your credit is above 700 and you have been @ your job for at least 3 to four years...and for me being a freelance artist they really surprised me because most people don't finance freelancers in this town. So, overall I would say they are A okay in my book. But, keep in mind..if you want something you gotta ask for it.

These people are a joke. I have poor credit and according to their ads and website this would not matter since I have a job.

7/31/10 I went to look for a Maxima tested and took me in for financing. They came back asking for co-signers lol

I do have co-signers my parents would not mind that have better credit. but, if I where to use a co-signer i think i would have gone to a better dealer like Toyota or Acura.

universal city nissan where your job is NOT your credit...
co-signers are!.....

Prior to purchasing our new Nissan Altima we did our homework by comparing various models on consumer reports, auto magazines, online reviews, etc. Then we went to several dealerships to make our best deal. Universal City Nissan exceeded our expectations by a mile. The sales process felt more like consulting and validating what we had researched. The negotiations felt honest and to the point and before we knew it we were offered attractive financing and drove off the lot with a brand wen car. Overall it was a very positive experience.

Universal Nissan has an extremely good selection of new and used cars and I was happy when I found what I was looking for. It took a while to find a car that both my spouse and I could agree on, but the salesmen were happy to answer all of our questions. We were looking at a brand new dark blue Maxima, but then found something more in our price range: a 2009 Altima. I do have to say that the experience dealing with the sales team, management team and Finance was good.

I bought my 350z at this dealership a couple of years ago and one of the things that impressed me the most was their service department. I had brought the car in according to the periodic check-ups and the staff has always been professional and courteous.
Their extended warranty program saved me a lot of money?is was easy to join and I appreciated the shuttle service back and forth whenever I had minor repairs done. Those issues were diagnosed quickly and efficiently ?? the free car wash was woth it too after I had brought it in all muddy ?

I started shopping over the Internet and then dealt with the fleet manager. He was extremely patient and considerate of all my questions and clarifications. I shared my research with him and we reviewed features and functionality of my new Nissan Altima. Once it came to financing and insurance policies, he was very creative of structuring a deal I could afford and that was economically solid. The test drive was long and covered side streets, highway and parking lots. It is hard to find a good experience with a car dealer these days ?? this one is a keeper.

I feel Universal City Nissan treated me right. I bought an Altima Hybrid and have had zero problems with it. Granted, I've only had it for a week, but outgassing or not, it smells great and sips gas. I used the 'walk off the lot' trick (counting on aggressive salespeople) and wasn't disappointed. I was politely followed to my girlfriends car, told they'd look at the numbers again and they 'found' another few hundred bucks to take off.

Universal Nissan had a good selection of new and used cars and I was happy when I took my son in to buy a car. It took a while to find a car that both my son and I could agree on, but the salesmen were happy to answer all of our (my, mostly) questions. Even though my son was really gunning for a brand new Maxima we found a 2009 Altima that was more in our price range. Overall, a pretty good experience.

I always take my GT-R to the dealership when I need service work or parts. I like going to Universal City Nissan because then I know that my new parts are certified, and it's worth the extra cost for that peace of mind. If they are busy, I might have to wait a little bit but it's never been too bad.

I usually hate taking my car to get serviced, and the last time I needed work done I had to go to a dealer. I went to Universal Nissan and was surprised that it didn't cost an arm and a leg. I've heard that dealerships are expensive but Universal was priced much lower than I thought. (Still more than I can afford, but that's a totally different issue. lol) Another thing I thought was cool is that their service center is open 7 days a week, which is really great if you work on weekdays.

When getting my first car on my own I had tons of questions. I've been to a few other dealerships, but I felt that Universal City Nissan did their best to give me all the info I wanted. They helped me with not only vehicle info, but also credit, too. Took awhile to buy the car, but I'm guessing this is probably standard. :)

I'd give it five stars, but its a car dealership and the buying experience almost always hits a road-bump walking into the finance room. I don't think it's possible to have a five-star car buying experience. Don't get me wrong, it was a good experience and I recommend UC Nissan, but I just don't like sitting in that finance room - it's a buzzkill. I can't speak to service, but the part about getting the car was really good.

I LOVE my Cube; it matches my haircut. They got the thing about the economy sucking and I 'think' I got a good deal (Thank you Scott). Financing not a hassle but for the bazillion signatures. I didn't get the under body sealant (see Fargo). Nuff said.

I would not recommend anyone to go to Universal City Nissan . Their customer service is horrible ! I went to purchase out my lease but since I was not buying a new car , the manager didn't care to help me at all. I am going to end up returning my lease and never doing business with this dealer ever. If they are not making a good bonus out of you, they do not want to help you out and the so call "managers" are the worst . They have no customer service skills. You would think that with all that commission they make , their customer service would be really good. What they should invest on some customer service classes for their so call "managers".

I strongly believe that they think Hispanic and Latinos are stupid. They target their customers through radio stations such as power 106, latino 96.3, klove, etc. They attempt to feed us bs because they think we are uneducated and ignorant. They invent new plans and pretend that you don't qualify for a good rate.

After a 4 year lease, I tried to buy my vehicle from them. The residual value on the car was about 10,000. The manager tried to sell me the car at 18,000 dollars and told me that was a good deal since I had invested so much money into the car, and he wanted me to put another down payment of 2000. When in fact, the true market value of the car was less than 8,000.00. I obviously told him that i was no longer interested in the car. He can keep it, lose my business, and let the car sit on his lot while it depreciates in value. When i finally left, he through all his paper work at his assistant. He didn't bother to shake my hand. He turn his back on me and said ok bye.

I would never recommend this place to anyone I know. BEWARE to anyone that goes there, and may the force be with you. good Luck.....you'll need....along with 20000 for you down payment.

My Xterra kept on stopping today so I went to Universal City Nissan at about 2 PM. I was to replace catalytic converter. Estimate price is $1350. When I asked if I could have the old one, I could have it if I paid $140 to have the replaced catalytic converter because it has platinum on it. ""I could go and sell it and make money out of it, that's why people steal that part."" I googled ""core law"" but could not find anything resembling what my service rep, George, quoted me as the law.

I am 7 months pregnant and am on modified bedrest when we went to look at a car for my husband at your dealership in Universal City, CA this past weekend. When we asked where we can park close to the new cars, the salesmen instructed us to park on the street near the pre owned lot and told us that the new cars were there as well. He walked us almost 2 blocks in 90 degree weather and up the back of a 2 story ramp to what I realized was the rooftop inventory lot. That is when my contractions started. When I asked what was below us (knowing we were now above the dealership), he lied and said it was where they ""keep the trucks"". When we drove out to test drive, we clearly saw the the shaded free ""customer parking"" and the entrance to the dealership where the new cars were. I pointed this out to him and he replied that there was ""no more parking"" in the customer lot, despite the fact that it was clearly only half full. We drove the car and had him drop us off at our car because I could no longer walk. I proceeded to go home to lay down and debate on going to the hospital for hours because of preterm contractions. Your salesman put the health of both me and my unborn child at risk to snatch up a potential customer. I have never been so upset and disgusted.

Once it came to financing and insurance policies, he was very creative of structuring a deal I could afford and that was economically solid. The test drive was long and covered side streets, highway and parking lots. It is hard to find a good experience with a car dealer these days this one is a keeper.

Pros: Professional; Experienced, Helpful

Prior to purchasing our new Nissan Altima we did our homework by comparing various models on consumer reports, auto magazines, online reviews, etc. Then we went to several dealerships to make our best deal. Universal City Nissan exceeded our expectations by a mile. The sales process felt more like consulting and validating what we had researched. The negotiations felt honest and to the point and before we knew it we were offered attractive financing and drove off the lot with a brand wen car. Overall it was a very positive experience.\r\n\r\n

I'm glad I took my daughter to Universal Nissan for her first car. She wanted a truck, and we had looked online at several dealers in LA, but Universal had a quick quote and car line up so we went over there. The salespeople were really friendly, and not as pushy as other car salespeople.

I've been wanting a Nissan Cube for quite a while, and found a great price when I called for a quote from Universal City. I was able to strike a good deal, with a little back and forth of course, but that's really the same everywhere. The staff was friendly enough and I didn't have any problems. It was an Ok experience.

I honestly didn't even know what I wanted when I went to Universal City Nissan, and they were really busy so I had to wait for a salesperson to help. Once there was someone available, they told me all about the new models and also took me to see some of the used cars. Since my credit is shot, I didn't think I'd be able to get anything decent but I was able to be financed for a car. They wanted me to leave in a new car that day, but I ended up coming back a few days later before sealing the deal.

I have a GT-R and I always go to the dealership for services or for parts. I could go to other places besides Universal City Nissan, but then I wouldn't be able to get certified parts for my car. The dealership costs a little more, but it is worth it to get certified parts. Sometimes I have to wait a little bit, but its not too bad.

I was looking to trade in my old Sentra, but I didn't like the appraisals I was getting from other dealers. When I took it to Universal City I feel that I was able to trade in my old car (which still ran perfectly well, I just wanted to update) for an OK amount. I came away with a good deal on a new Pathfinder, but it did take a while to complete the sale. Definitely worth it though.

I wanted to buy an eco-friendly car, and at Universal City Nissan I was able to choose from either the Altima Hybrid or the Leaf model (which wasn't out yet, but they could have ordered one just for me!) I liked both models, but went with the Altima. The sales people were a little pushy, but not as bad as other dealerships. Pretty good experience.

I went to Universal Nissan look for a car for my oldest son. I would never have dreamed we would have drove off the lot with a car that day, but we did. , making sure we we're comfortable whether we were at the waiting room, on the car lot, or even signing the papers in the office! Though the price ended up being a bit over budget I still think my son and I got a great bargain for the quality of the car and service we received. I'm glad to see that good service and manners in business hasn't totally died out. It was a great experience getting my son's first care with him and he's more than excited about his GTR!

This place is a joke! The sales floor had over 50 highschool aged customers filling out Credit Apps. virtually all would not qualify. ( sales rep. confided to me) I visited Univeral Nissan to test drive a Fontier pick up. The sales lady took me all over their parking structure. After she found it, Service had a car parked in front of it., service couldn't locate to keys to move it. We went back to the sales department, located another truck, located the keys, and again ran around the parking structure. We located the truck, and this time battery was dead. We spent another 15 minutes looking for a battery jumper, we found the jumber , but now their battery jumper was dead. I had enough and left.

Horrible Experience, Customer Service ignored me when I went in for an oil change. So Sorry to not set up an appointment, I was in the area. Overpriced bad service. Takes to long for service. Last time I had an oil change, it ended up with me renting a car for finding other small problems and taking too long to fix them.

well I read the review for this dealer after i purchased my x terra 06 I wanted a new x terra an 07 so we dealed and at the end of it all I was walked over to their dark parking structure. you could not tell alot by that nor that all of this cars were 06's. well it continues the black suv looked like it was sitting all of last year in the sun or in a dusty place,it looked clean. but when you look closely into the paint you can tell the paint had alot debrie stuck to the paint. also the interior had alot of broken piece that the service is still trying to fix. They sold it to me with out car mats. I waited a few weeks for that. Over all you can only catch this thing after walking around being around the car for days that you start seeing a pattern of inperfections. the only car thats perfect possibly is the vehicle that has a 5000.00 mark up and is sitting in the shoow room. I have not serviced the car yet I cant wait to see how their charges are even with the service maintanace that I purchased.

Bought my new Z here. The thing was parked in a open lot for what appeared to be a long time.It was1:30AM by the time I purchased it ,they had washed it but it was still filthy being a black car at night I'm sure it was hard to wash. The sales rep(who was actually quit friendly and knowledable)noticed some dried fluid marks on the dash and said I could bring it in for a detail. The following morning I noticed some pretty deep scratches on the hood.Brought it in the following morning like the sales guy asked.and while pulling in he called and said he would be 2 hours late and I should bring it in the following day.Great. Bring it in the following day,and they said the scratches would take a week to buff.Great.so bring it in the following tuesday. Brand new beautiful car and I have to leave it for a week to buff the hood.So I come in on friday to pick it up, keep in mind this is my forth trip there, they pull the car out, its filthy and theres swirl marks on the hood,no detail, bad buff job.So I take it back the the service department, they said yeah even tho my paper said the work was done that yes it was obviously not detailed, but the ""advisor"" says the hood was painted. So I have to come back and pick it up in the evening.Get there, the car finally looked cleaned on the outside, but the ""painted"" hood was obviously only buffed as if I looked close, you could still see the scratch marks, fine, but why LIE about it?so I get in the car and notice that the inside was never cleaned and the mysterious fluid drop marks on the dash are still there.TERRIBLE customer service and ""work"" Also they told me that ONLY Nissan can change the oil because of some seal and that it costs 50dollars to change at their service department. And that id I got their maintenance plan that it would save me money, when I went to the service department, I checked out their maintenance schedual and added it all up,500 dollars more for the plan than out of pocket, not to mention your interest over the 5years.

The only reason I take my car to get service at a dealership is because I have an extended warranty. If you don't have that, I think the prices are outrageously expensive. My car wouldnt start on a sunday morning so I got a jumpstart and took it there by 10am. I was waiting for 20 mins so I could pull my car in the service area because there was a line. Then I told my situtation with an ""advisor"". I was told they would look at it today. I then took a taxi home cause I guess on Sundays they dont have free shuttle service. I waited all day and they never called me. I got a call at 4pm saying they didnt have time to look at it and expect a call the next day by noon. So i wait till mon its noon and surprise they havent called me back. I call them, and find my advisor is missing in action, nobody knows where she is at, and nobody knows whats going on with my car. I wait another 3 hours and find out they finally diagnosed my car and it just needed a new battery. So I say fine can you do it today? They say they can do it in the morning. So i finally get my baterry done on tues morning and pick up my car. 3 days to install a freakin baterry. thats horrible. horrible customer service. idiotic service advisors who have no clue what service at a dealership is supposed to be. im never taking my car here ever again, its total imcompentence here. be warned.
