Toy's Cafe

This place has nice inexpensive and tasty stir fry dishes but what we keep going back for is their Chinese Beef Noodle Soup! We haven't found any equivalent anywhere outside LA. The broth is rich and meat is tender and flavorful! And if you are adventuresome, try the beef tendon noodle soup -- the tendons just melt in your mouth. They'll even do a combo of the two if you'd like. My husband and I like the spicy version but my kids don't eat spicy so we usually have to get 2 bowls, one spicy and one not so we can all be satisfied. This is not the same as pho -- the broth is richly spiced with anise, szechuan peppercorns, ginger, soy, sugar, etc and cooked down to a thick mahogany brown goodness that we never waste. The only thing I don't recall is whether this noodle soup is listed on their English menu or not... If not, ask for it anyway! If you love authentic Chinese cuisine, you won't be disappointed!

Reading the name i thought that kids would enjoy here. But being a vegetarian i didnot find any good choices. i was not very impressed with their service too. Thought they did'nt care. i dont know how their non-veg menu goes but wouldnt recommend veg atleast.

I like the menu selection at Toys Cafe. They serve home-style Chinese food. My favorites in particular are the smokey-flavored beef chow fun. The orange beef is also good. I like that there are a couple of parking spaces right on the street in front of the restaurant that are usually available, as it's not always easy to find street parking in Old Bellevue. However, they also share a parking lot out back. This place is economical and authentic.
