I remember being there back in the 70's when I lived in No. Calif.
It was a great experience being on the wharf and I remember going upstairs to the restaurant. The Sukiyaki was prepared at our table and was excellent. Little did I know that very shortly after dining there ..I would be moving to Japan to live for three years. Knowing that this restaurant is still there..I must return to San Fran.

Located at the world famous Fisherman's Wharf, this Japanese restaurant features quiet dining, a sushi bar and a full liquor bar, all in an authentic Japanese atmosphere. The menu offers tempura, sukiyaki, teriyaki and noodles. According to my friend Gaye, Tokyo Sukiyaki has "the best steak" she's ever had. Each meal comes with miso soup, salad, tea and fortune cookies. Prices are mid-range.

PROS: Very traditional, kimonos, Japanese music and warm hand cloths
CONS: None
