I have been going to this restaurant for a few years now and it is consistently great. It has become very busy on weekends (which is good). I know people that drive from Atlanta to eat here. Menu is similar to La Fonda in Atlanta but much tastier! I have never eaten anything here that didn't taste great. Best paella-My friend says the only time he has had a better one is in Spain. Fish tacos are great and you must try the chocolate flan. This is way better than your standard Mexican fare. Service is quick too. I don't know of a better restaurant in this area of Gwinnett.

This is a great little restaurant. The staff is wonderful and the food, soooo delicious! They have great Sangria as well. I recommend the fish tacos!

We stopped by after church and I ordered for the table, Sangria (normally, a red wine combined with various fruits, alcoholic spirits, lemonade, sugar). Armando's Sangria was a serious disappointment. However, the food done right and each plate was piled high. Great flavor. The chips and salsa, especially the salsa, were great. Service was good, and the decor colorful. With the exception of the Sangria it was Very Good.

Best Latin/Mexican Food in the Atlanta Area. No speedy Gonzalez here or chain restaurant food! Fun, laid-back atmosphere, great service and consistently delicious fare! I would consider myself a Latin/Mexican food aficionado and this place never disappoints. I recommend starting out with the fresh guacamole for the table (fresh avocado chunks, tomatoes, cilantro, onion...not the paste that you tend to find in chain Mexican restaurants). The Shrimp & Corn Chowder has the perfect, creamy consistency and full shrimp, and the lobster tacos with the fried peppers are absolutely phenomenal! I also consider the enchiladas con pollo the most flavorful chicken enchiladas I've ever had. I have tried almost everything on the menu and you really can't go wrong.

I live in Atlanta, but work in Duluth and tried Armando?s for lunch well over a year ago. I fell in love with the food & friendly service and have been back every week since (sometimes twice a week). I introduced it to my wife and she loved it so much that we drive up to Duluth from Atlanta to satisfy our cravings!

Bottom line: fresh ingredients, creative menu, consistent food and great value. Everyone that I have introduced here has loved it!

Pros: Food, service, value, consistency

Cons: Texas margaritas could be a bit stronger, but I like my Grand Marnier

This restaurant is ok for cuban food. One thing I can say is that you will get great service (because it is usually pretty empty). I thought that the food was so so but the manager did give us coupons for free appetizers for 5 more visits.

Pros: No wait

Cons: Not much to wait for

Good Cuban food. Close to my office so I stop there now and then. I just wish they would offer steamed rice instead of yellow rice with their plates. It always annoys me when restaurants feel they have to "Americanize" ethnic food to attract customers.

Armando's is great. Their food is Tex-Mex/Spanish/Caribbean. The guac dip, queso, and salsa are fresh and great. The Consome de Pollo is great. Their tacos, burritos, and enchiladas have black beans instead of pintos, and you won't find regular old hamburger meat. I've had a Cuban Sandwich and it was great. They also have great Paella. Prices are more than reasonable and service is good (they keep drinks filled).

PROS: Fresh food, good prices
CONS:
