Cadalina, yeah, I hope you have a long relationship with Carmel. I rented their apartment just for 2 years and they replaced staff about three times. I think I dealt with about 3 or 4 managers. When I asked where is "name", the answer is "name" has decided to leave! not sure who decides though.

I hope it will be better at my location. it just turned terrible after carmel took over. as for roach treatment, nothing works, they made us move stuff out of cabinets and use some kind of smell and made the roach now all over the place, not just in the kitchen like before.

Water trash bill is now $86.87 per month from zero when i first signed contract with them. in the middle of the lease, actually after about 5 months, they just added water trash sewer bill and literally broke the lease like that. the manager who got me hooked up by telling me free water sewer trash and even free hot water ... and that's the case for the past some 20-30 years at this place since I rented this place back in 1990s and free water also. This same manager told me when I told her the bill was a mistake that "I never said that, I said the bill will be sent but not sure when ... " and they replaced her shortly after that since they made this manager changed words to many tenants that tenants have no trust no respect for her. I had to work with regenal managers to get my money back finally since when I didn't pay that bogus charge, they treated as no payment on rent and they ddin't even bother to send me late charge or anything, they gave me 3 days vacate notice!! how amazing!!! When giving credits back to me, they made me agree not to tell others about it since people don't know how to fight for their money never got their money back ... this is not fair for others .. but they move out instead!!! so bigger loss for the apartments. At first, carmel partners started charging 40, then 50, then 60 per month, now is 86.87 per month for a couple and three kids. not sure how much more they will go up, so be prepared when you sign your lease with them, maybe they'll charge siteseeing or pool charge or whatever and no prior notice to you! make sure your negotialble price has room to cover unexpected charges.
At my place, they first kicked section 8 people (people with housing assistance) out and the way they dealt with tenants make many furious and move out, rented from $1800 per month now goes down to $1280 per month and still lots of vacants. Tenants just got so angry and give move out notice, and they try to get tenant back by lowering the rent .... and when tenant try to stay, they increase again like it happens with my neighbor, and so that neighbor is gone from the neighborhood. They even mail me a notice for $1280 offer for rent since they they thought i was on month-to-month and was ready to move out (I currently pay higher rent) and also brought one notice in person to me, and when I brought the notice to the office, they are not even nice, they just said they could not honor it since it's a mistake!

Carmel is a very good company to work for. They are very professional, and treat employees very well. GREAT SUPPORT SYSTEM. Although my time was short with them I absolutely enjoyed the time I experienced!
