Venetian Antiques & Interiors

Probably the worst store in The Commons, the owner, an short Foreign man stares at you the whole time. He walks around as though he is Royalty. His little teeny bop-per girlfriend was in the store who proceeded to use "intellectual language" like she was educated. When lets be honest she's obviously a gold digger. I have seen her with MANY men in Destin. It's such a shame that space in the Commons couldn't go to someone who deserved it. DO NOT ENTER I promise you will thank me! This man is a maroon!

I would like everybody to know that the person who owns and manages this store is the WORST business person I have ever seen... In fact I would say he is the WORST human being that I have ever met!!! He threw my wife out of the store and told her that she was never to come back! Why did he do this??? I can't say for sure. I suspect that he does not like to be bothered by people who he considers to be either people who have no intention of making a purchase OR people that he thinks does not have enough money to purchase anything from his store. This is truly a very cruel and mean person and has no business working in this type of business - he would be better off flipping hamburgers somewhere... where he does not have to speak or deal with another human being.

I would like to organize a group of people to picket his store. If interested - please contact me through the Destin Commons management office - as they have my contact information.

This man and his business has no place in Destin - we need to work together and force this man to take his business elsewhere.

I gave one star... as this website requires you to choose from one to five. He should get ZERO!

And last - anybody who gives this man any stars is obviously a friend or someone who made a huge purchase in his store - so he gave them good treatment. If you do not spend any money - he treats you like crap and asks you to leave and not come back ever again!!!

To begin with let me note: I only gave the store one star, because you have to give at least one star to leave a review, otherwise I would have left no stars.

I had just walked into the store and the owner came from around a roped off area and asked me in a rude manner, "What do you want?" I told him, ""I just came into look." He then asked harshly "What are you looking for?" I told him "Nothing in particular, I just wanted to see what you have." At that point he hostilely told me to "leave the store, it was only open to dealers that day." This was on a Saturday afternoon. He snidely told me "I could come back some other time, tomorrow or maybe Monday." I live out of town, so this would not be convenient. I would like to add there was nothing on the doors to indicate they were closed that day to the public. Furthermore, after I went back to my vehicle and waited with my Stepfather for my Mother to return from shopping, We observed other shoppers with shopping bags and children enter and stay. They certainly did not look like dealers.

On the whole, he was one of the rudest owners I have ever encountered and I will be contacting the Destin Commons management about his rude and hostile manner.

I also had a horrible experience at this store. My mother and I visited after being attracted by their impressive window display. The owner was hostile and shadowed us around the front of the store - he kept the main part of the store roped off, so we were only able to look at what was in the very front. My mother asked him a question about the origin of a piece, and he was very rude in telling her that he did not know. I lingered a little longer than necessary at that point, when I realized that he wanted us to leave, simply to annoy him. We had done nothing wrong to deserve that kind of treatment - we kept our voices low, we were dressed nicely, we did not touch the merchandise. His reaction was very prejudiced against us, although I have no idea on what grounds - we are white so it could not have been racism (although that was certainly what it felt like), we do not have accents as we have lived all over the country, we are middle class - I don't know what he could possibly have been offended by.

I honestly don't understand why they would locate their business in a mall if they feel that the average person has no business in their store. It was unexpected (and, frankly, amusing) to find that kind of attitude from someone who has to rent his store's location in a strip mall.

I looked everywhere for the type of items that this store sells. I was amazed by the selection and the personalized service. I love this store and would highly recommend shopping here.

I would not recommend stepping foot into Venetian Antiques & Interiors. I was in the store for the first time to look and the owner had the whole store roped off as if only "rich" paying customers could pass through. The owner and his employee were standing on guards by their green velvet ropes. A customer was asking the price of an item and the owner snapped, "It's not for sale!" Then the customer asked, What is for sale?" and the owner said nothing in here is for sale!" and waved the woman off. I was so disgusted at the owner's horrible customer service I left immediately.

i had very GOOD experience, the service and their knowledge exceeded my expectation, we got very good value and service.... we recommended venetian antiques to our friends and familyon our next trip we will visit againTommy, & Gill
