I was home from California for Booker T. Washington's Graduation Class of 1958 50Th Year Class Reunion. While there, I craved an Oyster Loaf sandwich which I haven't had for years On the way to my cousins house on Bullard St, I stopped at the Super Cajun Seafood Restaurant. The clientel were friendly and courteous. The aroma of the seafood whetted my appetite more so. It brought back many fond memories of New Orleans cusine.I ordered a whole loaf Oyster Sandwich. To my supprise, the sandwich was made with a loaf of French bread at least three feet long! It was chock full of large succulent fried oysters. At least two dozen.I also bought two bags of corn on the cob and potatoes cooked in Cajun seafood seasoning. The sandwich fed four adults,(full & satisfied) It was delicious. The best i have ever had. And,It only cost $22.00. In California, if you can find such a sandwich, it would cost you at least $50.00 Yes, it was the best ever! I can't wait until I make another trip to New Orleans(soon) so I can once again get me another Oyster Loaf from the Super Cajun Seafood Restaurant.
I highly reccomend it.
