Went to see Dueling Pianos - loved the show.

Found the venue to be smoky & noisy - there was a Rockets game showing nearby that could be heard by those trying to enjoy the show.

Better ventilation and some separation from the sports bar setup would be a MUCH bigger draw. (Even the smokers in our group weren't happy with the smell.)

We didn't play any of the games - only went for the show - so can't speak to that part of Times Square. People seemed to be having fun, though - lots of families on a Friday night.

We'll be back to see Dueling Pianos!

Pros: Good show, good bartenders

Cons: Poor venue for entertainment

They have a new guy there who has his work cut out for him. He has inherited alot of problems with the lanes etc but seems to be turning things around pretty quickly. The lane conditions have improved a great deal and the machines seem to be running alot better. Everyone seems really upbeat, polite and willing to help the customers with everything from putting names in to finding a ball that fits. We had a great time.

If you're an avid bowler, avoid bowling at Times Square. The lanes were really oily (my aggressive hook was reduced to nothing), the pinsetter and ball return routinely malfunctioned, and spotlights rotate along the ceiling - frequently blinding you on the approach.

The front desk was exceptionally unresponsive (I talked with 6 different employees the 6 times I walked to the front desk to report that our lane wasn't working properly.) We left before we finished our second game because we were frustrated with the several minute-delay after each ball (we paid for 2 hours upfront and there were 6 of us bowling) but decided not to ask for a partial refund because the line was easily 20 people deep.

Pros: Hourly rate is reasonable; Loud music for the kids

Cons: Lanes; Equipment; Lights in your eyes; Service

I have only been to Times Square during daylight hours. During the day it is great. They have bowling, pool, and arcade, laser tag. The kids had a blast. You can pay one price and the kids can do everything. Great for a rainy afternoon. I have no idea what kind of place it turns into after night fall. They do have a bar that smells very smokey, but beyond that it is new and clean and a lot of fun.
