My husband was feeling very sick when he went to Dr. Markus as a new patient. Dr. Markus analyzed the situation quickly and personally called other doctors to help immediately. Everything turned out OK, but my husband is dedicated to Dr. Markus for his quick action and caring personality. Almost everyone in our extended family and many of our friends go to Dr. Markus now because of my husband's recommendation!

Well, looks like from the reviews I've read, I got lucky. Had to choose a new dr when I went on AARP Medicare Complete. First met Dr. Markus a week or so ago, and was impressed. Good sense of humor, but shoots straight from the hip! If you don't want the truth, don't ask! (Does he get to read these, I wonder?)

I've just moved home to Texas from Colorado after 20 years. I had a doctor I trusted implicitly with my life and was very, very reluctant to "find a new" doctor. This is very traumatic for a patient!

I am thrilled with Dr. Markus and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a intelligent, humorous, and CARING doctor. He is serious, but can break the tension/stress by making a person laugh.

He is hilarious, which I don't normally have on my list of attributes for a good doctor. However, laughter is sometimes a great medicine. During the last 20 plus years, my confidence in him has grown enough that I trust him with my life. And that says a lot.
He is brilliant. He uses first-rate specialists for referral as well.
My mind is at ease knowing he is in my corner.

I was a drug rep for 15 years in Dallas/Ft. Worth so I got to know all the physicians pretty well in Plano, Richardson and surrounding cities.

When it came time to choose a physician for myself and my family, I knew Dr. Markus was the best choice. He listens to what you have to say and carefully considers the options and what is best for the patient. He is informed on current medications and is knowledgeable on the latest data. He has ALWAYS been there when I needed him with a smile on his face and a wonderful sense of humor!

I trust Dr. Markus implicitly.

I have been fortunate enough to number 1, be in excellent health all of my life, but number 2, have Dr. Markus as my physician for the last 25 years. He is far from most doctors who treat you as a number, or simply just another patient. He gets to know his patients, and make them feel that he truly cares.

I have been very fortunate to have him and his staff as my family physician all of these years!! Great job Doc!!!!

I've known & gone to Dr. Markus for over 15 years. I trust him explicitly as a physician, not only for me, but for my entire family.

I have recommended him to several people throughout the years who have asked me if I know a good doctor. I tell them no, but I know a great one... He is honest & very matter of fact. He is charismatic with a great sense of humor that makes a person feel comfortable and at ease.

If you are looking for one of the few doctors who actually cares & loves what he is doing, then Dr. Markus is the right choice for you.

As in all professions there are those that are members and then those that are special. Like Michael Jordan in basketball Dr George Markus is special in the medical profession. He is show up at the top of his game every day and brings with him a unique combination of skill, knowledge and compassion that sets him apart even among the best.

I have been his patient for many years and have referred him to many friends and relatives and have always received surperlative accolades for the referral. If he doesn't have the answer then God is keeping it a secret. Smartest person I have ever met!

Dr. George Markus has been my physician for over 15 years. He listens, is compassionate and is decisive. He will not over medicate nor will he ignore your concerns or illness. The office staff is very helpful, will not blow you off on the phone or in the office. If you want a physician that knows what he is doing and takes time during your appointment to listen, Dr. Markus is your Dr!

I knew I would need to change physicians when I decided to change hospitals. All I can say is God does hold us close.

Dr. Markus is an excellent listener and diagnostician. He also takes the time to explain medical terms that really leave me lost. On my first appointment he was able to calm my fears regarding a lump. Six women in my family had breast cancer, three deaths. Of course, I often see lumps where there aren't any.

Last night I was able to sleep well and the next day was a good one at work. I would recommend him to anyone and have passed out his cards already.

Only thing, if you don't really want the truth , go to someone else. He is compassionate with this, but will be straight with you.

Dr. Markus is a fabulous Dr. Today was the second time I called his office and he answered the phone!! How many Dr.'s do that? Once was when I was out of town at a seminar, and was really sick. It would have been very difficult to leave a message and get a return call. He gave me suggestions of over the counter meds that could help me until I got home. He has just the right amount of humor mixed with Dr. advice. He's the best.

George has been my primary doctor for over 24 years. He now takes care of my son and mother-in-law. They both think he is a great doctor as well.
He is never too busy to call me back anytime I have a question. If I have an emergency the staff is instructed to figure out how to work us in.
George has a great sense of humor, but knows when to be serious how to give advice in such a manor that you want to follow it.
He always seems to be up on the latest in health care. I don't hesitate to recommend George to anyone new in town.

PROS: Articulate, bright, well educated, great bedside manor
CONS: He works too hard

Very easy to visit with and talk about anything! Will always do what he can to help no matter what the illness may be though a majority of his patients are over 70, he does have younger patients too. Office staff isn't computerized and still works off ledger but they work hard.

PROS: Easy to talk to!
CONS: Hard to get into see!
