My husband David made an appointment with Family Physicians Group at fisher's lanading for his doctor jonathan dykstra (who is never in but maybe every 2 weeks why is he still a doctor at any clinic?????) they made an appointment and when he got to the location the doctor they had him see was Dr David David who is a obgyn does this make any sense the person who made the appointment should not be working at the appointment line for this clinic ot have a job anywhere else.

I can't tell you how much I loathe this doctor's office since I became a patient at Family Physicians Group I have been more than unimpressed with their services. When I went to them during my adolescence I was suffering from extreme migraines that would get to a point that was so bad that I would often end up in urgency care because of the pain levels. My mother and I both desperately tried to make appointments and the (in most cases rude) women in the office would either return our calls or in any way cooperate to help get me in so that I could get the situation under control. I had a stable doctor for about four months before he quit then I was informed that I would ??have to wait until they picked a new one for me to see? again the headaches returned after my prescriptions ran out but for some reason they just couldn??t put their fingers on which doctor would be suitable to take out a pad of paper and write a prescription for me nearing almost six months.
In October I started receiving services with Family Physicians Group again for my pregnancy. From the very start my doctor seemed to only regard me as ??just another patient?. My fianc attended appointments with me, we are a mixed race couple, and my doctor acted as though the only reason he was there was to escape a child support issue. When it came time for us to hear the heartbeat, since my fianc was asked to go into the waiting room for the exam and not at all notified of this amazing event about to take place, he missed it.
In the following months my doctor would disregard my worries and would even become overconfident when I confronted him on giving me a prescription of Omega 3??s to meet current recommended levels for prenatal vitamins, assuring me that he ??kept up on these things? when I had two dieticians showing me paperwork and studies showing me that he was in fact wrong.
This is where I decided to abandon services altogether, on February 13th, 2009 I was admitted into Legacy Hospital 23 weeks pregnant and in premature labor. The nurses and doctors on staff couldn??t get reach my doctor for ages, when they finally did he simply said ??he would not be coming? and to take a urine sample from me. My nurse came to me red in the face expressing her anger towards him holding out the chart showing my uterine contractions noting his negligence. Following this my labor slowed but my doctor called back to sit on the phone wasting the hospital staff??s time yet again to sit and figure out whether or not he wanted me to wait in the triage for my urine results or not. Needless to say Legacy was more than happy to provide me with the number of a local Midwifery group.
The clincher! I had one appointment following the premature labor to have my Glucose tolerance, my fetal fibronectin levels, and my cervical cells tested. Two days following the appointment my doctor called me home leaving a message asking me to call him back to discuss my results. For the following two days I was in honest hell! I called the office and was instructed to call him back EVERY FIVE MINUTES until he or his MA could be reached. I am a full time student and I have a job, and yet, I did what I was asked so that I could finally be done with the office altogether. I was not reached until I had called over forty times simply being told to leave message after message after message. When I finally talked to my doctor he had the nerve to tell me that it was difficult for him to put in the two calls that he had. Are you kidding me?
If you care about equality, confidence in your care, your time schedules, and not having a neglectful doctor, choose a different provider!

My doctor is Tricia Wooden and she is a very good and caring doctor, especially for women. She has been very helpful in addressing my health concerns as a woman. She is very much in the know and keeps very current on medical developments and knowledge.

Sometimes it takes a few mintues to get through (but they've got nothing on Kaiser for wait times) on the phone but Family Phys is very organized and efficient.

PROS: Excellent medical care, fairly well organized
CONS: Phone wait can sometimes be just a little long

We had been patients of Dr Edward Sale for years. He is great if your a woman, but lacks attention to the males, at least my husband. He did not perform my husbands vasectomy correctly and now have another child. He did not listen to multiple complaints about breathing and sinus issues. Finally went to a ENT Dr who discovered pollups in sinus cavity plus a pocket which contained a lot of mucus. Dr Sale did not even do a simple x-ray. Just said to take meds for sinuses which would never have cured him.

PROS: Location
CONS: Dismissive to Male Issues
