So CUTE! SO Delicious!

by phbuchholtz

I have been in several time and have brought many many friends. It's like the cutest neighborhood bakery I've ever seen. The lemon bars are to die for! My mom, who lives in Austin, begs me to bring them to her. Everyone is so darling and ready to help out. You can tell they love their place!

Pros: BEST Lemon Bars!

Cons: none - love it!

Will never eat again!!!

by CSMobileUser

Not worth the calories!!!!! At least at sprinkles you know its going to cost you a ton of calories but its soooo worth it! With society bakery you can feel that fat in your mouth and going down your throat!! Sooo gross!!! The people working there were not friendly and looked like they hated their life! If the people working there would have at least givin some kind of customer service a smile or "hello how can I help you" I would not have written this review! Next time I crave a cupcake I will buy the box kind because it will be a hell of a lot better than this place!

Most Amazing Cupcakes in the World

by ccorcoran

I love SB cupcakes. They are so good. They must make them with a lot of love. The icing takes the cake. It is the best tasting. They must use like 50 lbs of butter. My husand and I visit every once and a while and we love it. We will go back again and again. They are so much better than Sprinkles, The Cupcakery and Dimples. They win best cupcakes In Texas and possibly the world.

Pros: Many flavors to try

Cons: Not Downtown

Best wedding cake ever!

by Joasis

Roshi was so accomodating and had no problem changing the cake decoration a couple of times. She made herself available even when the store was closed. We got to try all kinds of flavors when deciding what to pick and all were delicious, the icing is so good you can drink it! We decided on vanilla and chocolate layers because the icing really made the cake so going with traditional flavors seemed like a good choice and it was! Everyone had good things to say about the cake.

Pros: Best icing ever

Cons: None

GREAT CAKES! Not the best service

by CO1

My sister discovered this bakery a few years back and there was no turning back. We always get our cakes there with the exception of Tres Leches. There is a bakery in Oak Cliff that specializes in Tres Leches and we go there when we are in the mood for that type of cake. For every other occassion we go to Society Bakery. This year alone I have been there at least, 10 times for ocassions and more times just for cupacakes. That does not include holidays like Valentines, easter etc. BUT nobody ever remembers me! I am a regular customer, but nobody ever seems to acklowledge me as that. Every time I come in it is good service don't get me wrong. I have only had one bad experience there and I think anybody else would have left and not come back. I bought a tiered cake and petite la...for my son's First communion and the cake was LOP SIDED and the the petite la...were the wrong color. When I picked it up it was already paid for (It was not cheap) and the staff did not care to help with my issues. But i decided not to make an issue out of it and had to go buy another cake elsewhere on the day of the event. Still I have been back and when I tried to order a cake 4 days in advance they said they were not taking orders anymore. Since I am a regular customer to a place that is a bit pricey I thought they would make an exception, BUT they didn't. They don't seem to value regular customers because I guess they have enough business. Oh well, I am searching for another bakery and until then I will go back because the quality of the cakes is good and I do get what I pay for there.

Pros: Cakes are great

Cons: Customer Service Needs Improvement

Cupcake heaven

by wendyyork1

If you think sprinkles has the corner look out! This dallas bakery has the most amazing cupcakes! The Society cupcakes are rich, huge and come in over 10 flavors. My cupcake of choice was the redvelvet cupcake. I have had many different red velvet cakes in Dallas and must say this cupcake is the best red velvet cake I have tasted here in dallas. They make wedding cakes and are known for their bake to order birthday cakes right here in dallas. So if you are looking for homemade bakery goods, they are located on greenville avenue. Try the red velvet cupcake, you will not be sorry. Mention Citysearch and they will give you 10% discount on your first order of anything!

Pros: Hands down the best cupcake ever!

Cons: none

Fabulous Cakes

by MrsJones

As a newcomer to Dallas, finding somewhere to make the kids' birthday cakes was one of those details you don't think of until you need it. The cakes are moist and the icing is perfect without being sickenly sweet.

Society fills the bill. The cakes are fabulous and come in the flavors my kids like (German Chocolate and Strawberry). Can't wait for my birthday to try the pineapple-upside down flavor.

Pros: Best cake and icing in Dallas

Cons: A bit pricey

Best Cupcakes in Dallas, Texas!!

by HannahChan

Society Bakery's cupcakes are outstanding! The cake is always yummy and moist but the icing tops all! If you need a cake for a baby shower, or birthday party, Society is your place...they do a great job decorating in whatever style you desire. When you are in to pick up your cake or cupcakes, be sure you pick up a lemon bar and M&M cookie...they are divine. My kid's love the iced cookies which are always beautifully decorated according to the season. Again, the cookie itself is great and the icing is even better! Society Bakery will be your new favorite place for sweet treats!

Pros: Icing is the best ever and the cakes are moist and yummy!

Cons: parking

Would definitely visit again!

by janerjones2007

I wanted to purchase another type of dessert for my holiday party and thought petit fours would be perfect. I found Society Bakery noted on a review for another bakery, so I thought I would check it out. Over the phone, I pre-ordered a dozen petit fours with an incredibly nice lady. When I went to the shop to pick up my items, they were packaged and ready for me. They were decorated so pretty for the holidays and much larger than I expected. While there, I also tasted the pumpkin cupcake and it was absolutely delicious. The petit fours impressed my guests and really looked wonderful as I presented them on a 3-tiered dessert stand. I will definitely visit this bakery again!

Pros: Incredibly nice employees and pretty and tasty treats.

Cons: A little pricey and the parking is terrible (of course this is not their fault).

Great service and cupcakes!

by dragonfly1207

I'm a huge cake fan and love trying out different bakeries in different cities and of course plenty in my own town. After seeing an ad in the Dallas magazine for Society Bakery and also a Dallas wedding magazine, I decided to try this place out. I came early on a Saturday and encountered no line and a super friendly staff. The girl was helpful in the selection of treats, which I would have to say is not much of a wide selection I was expecting out of a bakery. However, I picked one each of vanilla and chocolate cupcake, the brownie, an M&M cookie, vanilla and chocolate petit four. The cupcakes were fantastic!! The cake was moist, the frosting had the right amount of sweetness, and the combination of the frosting to the cake were about right. The vanilla cupcake tasted surprisingly better than the chocolate because I'm a huge chocolate fan and thought I'd would prefer the other way around. The brownie and the cookie tasted good but nothing to rave about and I was disappointed with the petit fours. Society Bakery is supposedly known for these great petit fours but it really just reminded me of ding dongs. Anyway, I think the cupcakes were the best thing there and they even do wedding cakes.

Pros: Moist Cupcakes, Friendly Service

Cons: Petit Fours and all treats a bit pricey
