A big YES! I used to eat couscous and I can tell u their couscous was good! Plus, the ambiance is great, it's like Morocco was brought to you. Plus, the people who run the restaurant were wonderful. I'll come back for sure!

This was my first time, and both of us were sorely disappointed by the service and food. Since we went on a week night, we didn't see the belly dancing. Given the reviews, we were rather surprised. Both of our dishes were bathed in tomato

My boyfriend decided to take me to a romantic place and he chose the Kasbah because he loves Moroccan food and he knows I've never tried it. Trying it for the first time was great, I loved it and he thought the food was absolutely amazing. Probably the best Moroccan food he's tried. We're definitely going again when we get the chance, and bringing more people to enjoy the Moroccan experience thats given here.

I've driven by the Kasbah for numerous years, but had never tried it until lastnight. A friend was visiting from out of town who likes Moroccan food, so we decided to give it a go. What a pleasant surprise! The interior is beautiful and relaxing, and the service was excellent. The staff treat you like an old friend - professional and warm. We lacked for nothing. And, of course, the food was wonderful - my friend said it was the best Moroccan food she'd had; we loved every item. The 5-course dinner is an great value. We left feeling happy and spoiled - and will definitely be back!

I have never been to Morocco, but I have lived in and travelled through other countries in its neighborhood. Kasbah is in my neighborhood in Seattle and I have dined there numerous times over the years. It's a little piece of the Middle East in Ballard where hospitality, great food and a casual ambience remind me of my travels there.

I am a huge fan of lamb dishes, but it's very hard to find a restaurant that does lamb well. Kasbah is the one restaurant that never disappoints.

Because of all the great meals I've had at Kasbah, I'm putting Morocco on my short list of destinations for my next overseas trip.

I took my mom and sister to the Kasbah when they were in town recently. I had been there with a friend years before and remembered I loved it but that was it. Well, I quickly remembered! It is wonderful. My sister said it was the best meal she had had in Seattle. A relaxed atmosphere and wonderful food. Love it!

My 3 Besties took me out for my BD and Simo was our waiter. He was so pleasant and answered all of our questions!
The food was fantastic but there was so much of it. A 5 course meal is very big but every taste was delightful!
Thank you also to Sharif for the tour!
We will be back :)

The owner was exceptional upon our arrival, greeting us and showing us to our table.
The server, Simo, was outstanding, never pushy always present, but never intrusive.
The food was beautifully presented and oh my goodness, the taste buds were exploding.
I had the fish, excellent. The mint tea and dessert superb. Been to Tangier, brought back many memories, the decor was authentic and warm and inviting. Definitely will return!

My Family and I decided to go out to eat on Christmas at the Kasbah, it definitely was a great idea. We enjoyed our time there. The food was amazing and the service was great. The waiter was welcoming and friendly. And seeing all the families enjoying their time was spreading the Christmas spirit. It was a great choice to go to the Kasbah at this time of year and we will definitely go another time.

I really really wanted to enjoy this restaurant based on all the reviews I read. I chose this as a unique place to take the family on Christmas Eve. Poor choice. First, $30 per person for the "feast" IS NOT worth it. The food was decent but that's it. If you go -- just order off the Ala Carte menu. Seriously! The decor was nice and it was certainly different, but nothing to write home about. The waiter had ZERO personality. At the beginning -- when we washed our hands -- he poured rose water over our hands from a vase. We rubbed it in. That's it. No towels, etc. There was no belly dancing even though it was a Friday. I just felt that they were filling in the gaps because it was a slow night. Of all the expenditures I made this holiday season -- this was the worst. I really feel ripped off. So much so that I felt compelled to spend my time even writing this review. Oh, and the "dessert" was one pear (I think that's what it was) between the four of us, with chocolate sauce drizzled over it. Geez.

We visited Kasbah after reading the reviews on CitySearch. Our meal was outstanding. It was a feast for the senses as well with fresh cinnamon, rose water and the mint tea. We loved the belly dancing and the staff made us feel at home. It was the first of many intended visits.

No doubt the FOOD was awesome BUT just be careful when paying cause I got charged twice. Called my bank to dispute the transaction and left a message for Kasbah. They were good in returning my call back. I have to wait for a couple of days to get my charged reversed. It's just a hassle.

I am a very picky eater, much to my husband?s dismay. So when he suggested Kasbah one day I was very apprehensive but the second we walked in I knew I was in for a treat, the atmosphere is lush and exotic with pillowed low benches or big bean bag type pillows for seats, draped fabric on the ceilings and walls and gorgeous carpets all over. The wait staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and informative, telling us exactly what was in every course as they served them. Each meal comes as a 5 course experience, first is a vegetable soup, then an eggplant and pepper spread with wonderful bread, third is some kind of chicken and almond mixture (or couscous for vegetarians upon request) in phyllo dough, the fourth course is the meal you actually order-all options are delicious, the only thing better than your meal?s smell is your meal?s taste-and fifth is dessert with Moroccan tea, lavishly served in a Moroccan teapot and teacups. While not cheap, Kasbah gives you a huge bang for your buck. They also have belly dancers on weekends, incase the 5 course feast isn?t enough entertainment!

What an experience, I could have easily been sitting in Casblanca. Between the exceptionally food, outstanding hospitality, excellent service, exotic spices, stimulating decor of tapestry and testures, along with the taste of jazzman tea, smell of rose water, and the sight and sound of their belly dancer , we felt a thousand miles away from Seattle. What a treat! I went with my friend from Morocco (who is very particular about his food) and rated the food and experience a Top 10, highlighting how authentic and genuine everything was. Kasbah is diffinitely a place to come back too and recommend to others!!

I attended a function at Kasbah a couple of days ago and my experience left me BREATHLESS! From the perfect decor, sensuous smells, mouth watering food (the lamb just falls off the bone), and stellar staff...I have not had such a stimulating experience at a restaurant in a very long time. To top the evening off, Kasbah also had a Belly Dancing that evening. The Belly Dancer was beautiful, engaging, and an obvious pro! The group did not want our magical night to end.

Breathless and pleasantly surprised!

When me a my friends entered the Kasbah It was amazing! Me and six of my closest friends dined at the Kasbah for my Sweet Sixteen. We took the five course meal which was the most delicious meal ever. We started out with soups then the salad and the b'stalla. All of it was delicious I ordered the chicken with apricots and my friends ordered either the Lamb or Bruchette I tried all of it. I was so happy that I got to have my sweet sixteen at the Kasbah! I totally recommened it to anybody who wants to try something new!

kasbah is awesome! . I went for a friend's birthday dinner and we had a lovely time. The ambiance of the place is great. The food is absolutely delicious- you must try the lamb . The wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. It was just a lovely night and the ambiance of the place really made it great. And while not dirt cheap, it's definitely affordable. This is the kind of place that people search for in Seattle . I will definitely be back.

My wife and I use City Search quite frequently when we travel to find good dining experiences. This one was a home-run, subsequently being the catalyst for me writing this brief review. The service at Kasbah was fantastic! The food hot and tasty and truly Moroccan. Expect an explosion of flavors that American cuisine does not have. The five course meal is the way to go and will provide "a seam busting" amount of food. The ambience is truly middle-eastern with Moroccan music playing in the background. This is a five star - good ambience, service, food, and reasonably priced.

We made reservations for 6 on Saturday night for our 5 year anniversary. Seated quickly, great friendly servers. We only saw servers when they're seating others or delivering another course.

We had the "Feast". I chose the Honey Lemon Chicken, and spouse had the Beef Kabobs (they go by another name...). I was dissapointed that there was no seasoning on the dishes (like salt & pepper) nor were they available on the table. I was expecting an exotic flavor, or even a tiny bit of spice, after having a Moroccan's friends fish and rice at home. But this bland and "safe". Server forgot to bring out extra spices for husband's kabobs, but the meat was tender and served med rare (even though it isn't asked how you'd like your meat). Husband chowed down! Fruit dessert was a pear soaked in ??? - but whatever it was, it was sooooo good and refreshing! The jasmine, mint tea at the end was delicious as well. Perfectly sweetened.

Dancer arrived around 7ish. She had fun with everyone, moving throught both ends of the resturaunt, and showed what an art belly dancing is. Classy, and disciplined at the same time. One "bachelor" or "birthday boy", that could hardly stand on his own when he came in, forgot he wasn't at a strip club. But the dancer was gracious, and the manager professionaly had the guest mind his manners 'before' things got akward. Lots of talking and laughing heard from the other tables, so it's a family -friendly environment while still being romantic. We're bringing the kids next time. Dancer wasn't terribly skimpy - professional quality outfit, not like a Halloween costume.

Overall, ok, but bland food. Great experience, ambiance. Great decor. No parking lot, but plenty of street parking for our 6 o'clock reservation.

Pros: Smiling Service, Dancer, the light dessert, tea, great value, saffron rice

Cons: No salt/pepper/spices for meat.. couldn't taste lemon in lemon chicken

I came to the Kasbah awaiting for a normal meal, but i got so much more...i got a 5course meal and a delicious dessert! But not only that, i also got some entertainment...the belly dancer! The entertainment was the best part, the music was fantastic and the place deserves a highly recommendation! I also recommend going in big groups, dates, and bring your kids because they will enjoy eating with their hands. The Kasbah was great.

Be prepared to eat with your hands - just like sitting out in the desert around a campfire.

Went here (from Eastside) for our wedding anniversary and had a good evening. Food is OK/good, but could have more bite to it. It can be sort of bland if you get the wrong stuff.

Setting is awesome and "mingling" with fellow diners is encouraged, so if you're looking for solitude, maybe this is not the place. Belly dancing was a nice twist and she was good, maybe a tad too lenghty, but heck, this is after all a Moroccan place. We have far too few of "true" authentic food outlets up here. Too much have been "muricanized" to fit our tastes and desires.

Wine was - happy to see - also Moroccan. Did not see any algerian wines, but would have ordered that since they tend to be a bit "heavier" and "earthier" (drier) for their reds - w/o wopping prices.

I'd come back again, but it is far away from us....

Pros: Dining Experience w/o being robbed

Cons: Location, some of the dishes are bland (when one expect them to havbe some bite)

The atmosphere is pretty cool in an over-the-top kind of way, but the food is loaded with sugar and uses frozen vegetables. Definitely the worst Moroccan food I've had, certainly edible but nowhere worth $25 for the 'feast' they will twist your arm to order. I'd go there for drinks but I don't think that's an option. If you must go, the couscous was OK.

This was by far one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we've had in such a long time. Exceptional Dining at reasonable prices! The food was great and the belly dancing was awesome. Allow plenty of time to enjoy your evening.

Did not meet our expectations. Service was not good, slow in an empty restaurant. Tried to be freindly, but did not. The food was below average meal. The price was too high for the food and the service. We will not go again and not to recommend this place to anyone.

What a treat to find this place. The decor, music and food are a great blend that makes you feel you have been transported to Morocco. Beautiful crowd at night. Definitely check it out. Everything is so good, if it was located anywhere else, there would be lines out the door.

Of all Moroccan restaurants on the North West, there is only one that seems to do it right, and that is Kasbah. I have been to Morocco several times and Kasbah is about as close as you can get to morocco without a hefty tag! What people fail to realize is the fabulous value this restaurant delivers. The food is great and simple, traditional Moroccan. Nothing fancy but everything tasty!
