Fortuna Grill

We've always enjoyed going to Fortuna Grill. The first owner had a good heart, the food was fairly consistent, and it was a good deal.

The new owner has classed up the place with a big screen TV on the wall over the fountain and a floor manager with an interesting table-side manner. The food is more ambitious and the prices are still fairly reasonable.

We got the impression that the floor manager is not interested in preserving relationships with all the first owner's clientele. The new owner is a little more open-minded.

Overall - The gem still needs more polishing. Food - 9 Attitude - 6 It's a real shame when the actions of one individual cost a restaurant 2 stars.

As a frequent feeder, all I can say is: Good Food and Great People! It's even gotten better under the new owners and chef. It was always good but they've kicked it up a notch, classed it up. I love to see a young family with a passion.

Go early though, it fills up.

The new people are fantastic! the old owner was not up to par-the food went from OK to terrific. Happy to have the place improve. I go every weekend and love the authentic food and great service.

i visited my local la fortuna pizzeria, in the frisco, texas area. i loved the pepperoni pizza. i thought the pizz was jus great. i was wondering if the la fortuna pizzeria organization was planning to open other restaurants , in the dallas , texas area. let me know if they are. thanks in advance, ERIC SWARTZ

Took my family on a Friday Night,Had to tell several friends they must go to this wonderfull,authentic Italian Restaurant.
The food was great & service was so very good.
Chief Alfredo came out and introduced himself to us also asked how everything was. YOU GOT TO GO A MUST !!!!

We ate at Fortuna for the first time recently. It's a little place that looks unimpressive from the outside but is cozy and comfortable on the inside. Service is perfect. Food fantastic. We shared clams in white sauce on linguine and penne ala vodka. Also tried the pasta fagiole soup and Caesar salad. Reasonable wine prices and full bar available. Can't wait to go back. Excellent.

Alfredo is one great chef, preparing authentic Italian dishes you can't get anywhere else around here. From the NY style pizza, to the Rigatoni La Vodka. It is simply the best. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere.

Took our family of four there on a spur of the moment decision. Walked in and it looks fancy. But, everyone working their was so friendly! They even entertained my two kids. The pizza is great. Love that you can order it by the slice! Pasta's and Salad are great too. Wonderful service!

PROS: Everything was wonderful
CONS: Restaurant was a little cramped for space
