I went to this hospital ER with extreme abdominal and pelvic pain. It was a first time and a last time(to this hospital) in my life. Waiting time was not bad, just few minutes. I felt that this doctor was not listening to me. He ordered a lots of tests and X rays and blood work and other exams, that were not necessary but left out one ,most important test, stool test. He ordered a pain medication in IV and after four hrs told me " I do not know whats wrong with you." He discharged me with that and sent me home. That was most expensive trip to hospital that cost me $8000 . So if this is how they make a big money, I can see that. Few days later I was back in my doctors office with same pain . How he can sent somebody home just like that, without any diagnosis and treatment . Why they do not try some more tests, like CT scan or simple stool scan in my case. If he did ,he would find that I had bacterial infection ,that is treatable with antibiotics that cost $24.Shame on him and this hospital. I went there for help and they send me home after four hour with no diagnose and no treatment. I should not have to pay all this money. Will never ,ever go into this hospital again.

I scheduled an elective surgery at Northside Hospital, and I am very satisfied with the care I received there. The reception staff was helpful and courteous, I received very thorough pre-op care, the anesthesiologist was very compassionate, and the post-op staff were very attentive and competent. The surgery was performed without incident and I have had a full recovery.

Of course, most people leaving comments will be the people who were not satisfied, for whatever reason. Reading their comments prompted me to speak up and let others know that this facility is certainly not as described by them.

I would rather die than ever go to this hospital again.
It is not my job to correct the billing dept mistakes. They said it was. The hospital doesn't want me on hospital property. I would be very vocal to others about the lack of educated and professional staff, and i'm sure would involve the police removing from the hohspital grounds. The doctors couldn't decide what exactly was wrong with me. I've decided that Dr. Mital will never be one of the doctors that treats me again. No Dr. Mital I didn't miss my follow-up appointment with your office. I never scheduled an appointment to come to your office after being discharged from Northside. You staff mumbles into the phone when leaving me a message about appointment times. Sorry, you seem like a fairly decent Doctor, but since you work at Northside I can't allow you to treat me in the future. I hope your office didn't bill me for the alledged appointment that I missed. That would be called insurance fraud. I've sent a letter of inquiry to BC/BS to make sure you didn't bill me for an appointment that never was made by me. Should I need to be admitted to Palms of Pasadena, I will refuse to allow you to treat me.

I had to go to the ER in Seattle the beginning of August, and within two hours they explained everything to me and my ongoing health problems. Why the doctors at Northside couldn't find the health problem I was having is beyond me.,

In the end Northside Hospital will never see a penny of the $38,753.00.
Good luck collecting that amount. I'll bet I beat you to court. I will be suing the hospital in the near future if this issue is not corrected.

Cons: Billing Department, refusual to correct billing error

A very dear family member of mine passed in this hospital, the care she received was absolutely below par compared to any hospital I've seen in my life. There is very poor communication between the doctors and nurses, not to mention with the patients family members..seeing a doctor or specialist face to face is almost impossible, you get information from the doctors and specialists through the nurses.. note even though she was in critical condition! (one can barely even understand half of the staff over their accents..if you are in the medical field, learn to speak and write properly) It seems like the patients in ICU and CVICU are in for a death sentence, there are no cures, treatments, or many times, even explanations for the illness.. the doctors and nurses do not hold hope for them at all, basically all they do is perform some tests (good luck getting all the results) and provide the patient "comfort"..speaking of this, these rooms are lacking even basic amenities such as sheets, towels, bathing supplies and cleanliness..I am not a "neat freak" but the condition of the rooms are terrible, empty medication packs, garbage cans full, trash in general all over the floor..it seems like the nurses don't realize (or care) that its also their responsibility to clean after they perform their rounds. Don't even get me started on them not bathing the patients properly, crusts all over a persons eyes is no excuse, especially right after "washing" their faces. The lack of professionalism is shocking, and the lack of compassion very, very sad. My family member passed away, and as a last slap on the face, after so many heart aching days, after so many tests performed, they can't even tell you why they ended up they way they did, or even the official time of death, "around" 6:00 AM is not acceptable. If I could have transferred my family member to another hospital I would have in a heart beat had it not posed a serious threat, please, do not go to this hospital!

equipment is not service like it should be
Doctors do not listen or look at bracelets on your risk.
