I have been going to Viva now for over a year. This is quite simply the best place to get a massage in Austin. All of the girls working there give a fantastic massage - Megan, Beth, Robin, Barbara, etc. the Hot Stone massage is my fave along with the viva magic scalp treatment - just be prepared to be sooo relaxed as to melt! Highly recommended!

With all the spa choices in Austin...choose another place. This was less than average on all levels. From the bad parking situation, to the road noise to the staff that look like way less than professional. They were with attitude and the services I received were not at all good. learn from my mistakes and skip this one!

I have been to many day spas all over the country and did not expect to receive such poor treatment at a place in such a nice area! Where did they find this staff? salvation army? They have a great location, but do not deliver when it comes to service, professionalism, ambiance nor quality/value for the price.

What a horrible experience! I was disappointed in everything from the unprofessional customer service to the BAD services I received. These people all had nasty attitudes and seemed to care very little about the customer and the massage was amongst the worst I have ever received, as well as the facial. What a huge waste of my hard earned money.

I just went to Viva and got the Valentine's Day Package - it was sooo relaxing! My massage was amazing and I love all the scents and the extra treatments. I didn't realize how stressed out I was and how much I really needed to relax! I will be back...

I was given a gift certificate to Viva Spa and wasn't sure what to expect. I've had massage a few times, usually on vacation and it's been a while since I'd been anywhere local for spa services. Viva is on a busy street, but when I walked in my tension level went down right away. I first noticed that it smelled lovely -- and the front desk staff were quick to help and very friendly, even though it was busy. My therapist took time to find out exactly what I wanted and did great work. Very attentive and knowledgeable. The attention to detail really made the experience, especially the hot towels on my feet! WOW. I'm going back.

I was incredibly disappointed with the service I received at Viva. The quality of their spa services are poor and they only performed a portion of the services I booked. I went to relieve stress and I ended up leaving feeling even more stressed and ripped off! I would gladly drive out of my way to visit another spa in the future.

I am a long time Viva customer and recently received a gift card for another spa downtown and was reminded how great Viva is. For anybody who has not gone to Viva and is looking to be treated by people that really care, Viva is it. There are other bigger spas, but none with a Viva heart. I am so happy these ladies have a new Viva coming soon because you can't have too much of a good thing. They deserve success! I have been to them for all sorts of services and always left feeling really special. I wish more businesses cared for people the way they do.

Danielle is the best for facials in town! She use to work at another spa and left and I had no way of finding her. Luckily I called around and found her at Viva! She gives the best facial and brow wax in town. She is so caring. If you want the best quality go to Viva and ask for Danielle. I look forward to trying the other services there too.

I bought a gift certificate from Viva for my sister for Christmas. She was really shy about going in and so I went with her. I had no idea how bad I needed it! It's funny that I was trying to help my sister who is going through a really hard time and wound up helping myself too!
We both received a massage and a facial with a peel. We came out of our treatments and neither of us could beleive how great we felt (and looked). We both agree that the service was far superior to that you would receive from big resort type spa. All of the people that helped us from the front desk to the facialists and massage therapists truly seemed to care.
I will definantly be back (and so will my sis)!

My sister bought me a gift certificate for my birthday to Viva for the Delicious Spa Package. I loved every minute of it. I have been to a lot of spas and had many massages but Viva is the best. I also recommend adding the facial to your service. I had Gabby for my facial and Robin for my massage and they were both sweet and talented. Give Viva a try if you haven't already! I will be back!

I have been an avid Viva goer since they opened 2 years ago. I go every 3 weeks for my brazillians and have always loved them. I am getting married and decided to book my bridal shower with them and now I know how GREAT all of their services are. Me and my 5 bridesmaids went to chill out and received a full spectrum of services and EVERYONE said it was the best they have received. We had everything from pedicures to facials to massage packages. The staff really cares and each person really is great at what they do. Thanks Viva for making my bridal shower truly outstanding! Not only will keep coming, I will spread the word starting with Citysearch....

All I feel I need to say is that Viva rocks! Melissa Titus is one of the best hair stylists I have ever worked with and I have lived all over. Boston, NYC, Denver, Phoenix....she listens and knows what will look best on you, and she pampers you all at the same time. She is a beautiful person to work with. It is such a oasis on 35th Street! One of the owners, Shannon, is such a joy...she welcomes you in and makes you feel like you've been there a million times. Gotta try it once, you'll be hooked!

When I moved to Austin a couple of months ago, I was tentative about finding a new person to do my Brazilians. But I came across Viva and found Barbara; she is fantastic- definitely see her for all your waxing needs. She made me feel very comfortable during my Brazilian (which can definitely be an uncomfortable expereince) while remaining professional throughout. She was very thorough and gave me some great tips as well. They also offer a discount on certain repeat waxing procedures if done within 3-4 weeks. I definitely recommend Viva.

Viva is great - I tried Viva a couple of years ago for the first time and it was wonderful. I enjoyed it so much that my husband and I both bought season packages for our anniversary and shared a couples room. He had never had a massage before and absolutely loved it. The staff was awesome and so professional. I'm so impressed with Viva that I'm trying their other services. I'm looking forward to going back!

I tried setting up an appointment like two times. I never got a call back from the girl that answered the phone. Nether front desk girl or the massage therapist called me back, really bad service. I guess they are not into male clients. A friend of mine told me the massages where soso.

My boyfriend and I are spa junkies and we have checked out just about every spa in town for couples packages and couples massage rooms. Viva is by far our favorite! They have 2 great couples rooms and the staff is the best in town. You get excellant services and the people are as nice and caring as possible. Try the delicious duet, it doesn't get any better!

My husband sent me to Viva and I had the best massage and the sweetest therapist!!!! My back was full of tension and knots and I think it was making me hard to live with. I cannot believe how much better I feel! Thank you Viva! I will be back!

My husband and I got packages. Whoever the persons assisting us that day, one of them was very unprofessional. I was not impressed at all with the dinky "sauna". Way too small and uncomfortable to sit in there and relax. Our massages were average, though mine left me still sore; she massaged one side more over the other, then didn't advise me to sit up properly after my massage, so I ended up hurting my back even more, my husband was the one advised on how to sit up properly. Then there was an incident with the person massaging my husband. Her hands went too far. She apologized to him at that moment, but what upset me the most is that she had the nerve to send us a 'come back' postcard with our names on it and with a whole bunch of hearts around his name. #$*@% Very unprofessional. Not Recommend. NEVER GOING BACK!!!

Well it had been 8 months since my last haircut and my hair was getting a bit unruly. When I sat in the chair, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair. Melissa offered a suggestion and gave a great cut. I will definitely be back. I've already booked my next appointment.

My experience of Viva was a breathtaking and relaxing experience. The dedicated staff that greets you with a smile upon entry of the spa made me feel very comfortable and pleased. I currently live in Nashville, Tn and used citysearch to find this location to take a friend with me also to have a massage. It helped me out to know what to expect by the reviews that are currently listed on the website. Sometimes you have to ween through the bad stuff that is listed it is not always true. This is an Excellent Spa! I received a Facial from Barbara she took her time gave me an analysis of my skin, made me feel comfortable and was very knowledgeable in maintaining good skin conditions. Keep up the good work VIVA!! I will be back!

My hairdresser recently moved away and I was referred to Viva by a good friend. I was really nervous because I have long hair and am very particular. I was really impressed from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was great. Alison, my new hairdresser, was the BEST part about it. She did such a great job and was not pretentious at all (you know how some hairdressers are). I plan on coming back for my hair and also trying some of their other services :) Thanks Alison for making me feel beautiful!!

I got one of the holiday specials - massage, sauna, wrap, aroma therapy.... Hands down it was one of the best spa experiences I've ever had. Tamara worked on me and she was extremely professional, caring, grounded, and gave a wonderful massage. I look foward to going back again. I loved my entire experience.

I love getting massages, and after getting several massages at VIVA, I gotta say : They're the best!!! The thing that sets Viva apart from other day spas is that you can ALWAYS count on getting an exceptional massage there. When it comes down to it, the staff at Viva CONSISTENTLY offers great massages! I highly recommend getting a deep tissue massage, they must specialize in them!!! Also, the whole staff is great, the location is convenient, there is a large variety of services and everyone made me feel really welcome and appreciated.

I am usually a no nonsence strictly massage kind of person. I received a gift card to Viva from my husband. One of my girlfriends convinced me to schedule a "package" together we dove into spa bliss!!! The nervousness left as soon as we walked in. The place was warm, inviting, and pleasing to the eye. The staff was friendly and serving. I warned them of my reluctance to get anything other than a massage and they were informative and comforting. They described the bennifits of everything and assured me I would enjoy it all. They were right!!! I am converted.
My overall experience was great! A magical massage, a fantastic facial, and a warm wrap!!!
I will return, I will recomend this to my friends, and I will receive treatments for the "whole" body!!!
Next time I plan on visiting the salon side. It will undoubtably be fabulous!!!

I highly recommend a visit to Viva Day Spa for a facial. I have lived all over the world from NYC, Boston to Hong Kong and have been a big fan of facials. Monday is the day that most spas are not open and yet it is the day when you really need to get a pick me up for the week ahead. I booked my appointment with Danielle who is the facialist on Mondays at Viva and she pampered me incredibly well. (There's something to be said about having your facial on a day other than Thurs or Friday when the mad rush is pushing for the weekend)

I arrived home to a number of comments about how smooth my face looks and radiant. Danielle truly knows how to make sure you feel relaxed and that you come out looking and feeling better in the end. I give her and Viva high marks for their facials, the product they use and, the overall experience . I hear the massages here are great as well so that may be my next appointment!

I am not the "metrosexual" kind of guy, however, I am a now a huge Viva fan. My wife and daughter bought me the Mens spa package, a pedicure, and a facial for my birthday. I must admit I was a little nervous at first. The staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. Each therapist was uniquely talented and sweet. All the services were superb. I have requested a Viva Gift Certificate for Christmas and you should too. Ask for Kristi (massage), Lupe (nails), and Barbara (facial)!

This spa truly has an Austin feel. The interior is cool and clean. The therapists are hip, professional and extremely good at what they do. I recommend Barbara for eyelash tinting, Lisa for sugaring, Michel for deep tissue massage and Shannon for a nurturing massage.

If you haven't already, you've got to get suggered! Sugaring is a more sanitary and less painful alternative to waxing. Definitely worth the extra 5 minutes. Ask for Lisa - she's the best!

I had my first Viva Diva experience and I am sold. My body feels great (I had the Autumn Dream Spa Package). The services were excellant and the staff was hip AND friendly. Shannon was my therapist and she made me feel like I was the most special person in the whole world. I own my own business and I can tell you that what Viva has acheived is beyond wonderful...I already rebooked and cannot wait to go back. I even took a stack of cards to give to friends. It was my friend Erin's birthday and we decided to do a "spa day". Well we had never been to a spa so I suggested Viva based on Austin.citysearch recommendations. We were not disappointed. They were so friendly and professional but not cold. They made you feel at home and comfortable. We did their monthly promo package and it was well worth it. I don't think I've ever been that relaxed in my entire life! I had Michell (pronounced Me-Kell)and she was amazing. I don't know what the 2 people that gave this place a bad review are talking about. This place is a zen zone!

Finally! a place that knows how to combines prefessional services with genuine friendliness. The staff at Viva are consistantly nice, mindful and excellent at what they do. I've been there three times for three different services (massage, skin and nails) and left really happy and rejuvenated by the experience. That place deserves many "highly highly recommended" reviews. Check it out for yourself!

I moved here from San Francisco 6 months ago and Viva was the best thing I have found in Austin. The people were friendly and let me in on all of Austin's best places to go, but most importantly - the services were EXCELLENT and the place is super cute!!!

I've been a Viva customer since January 06. My boyfriend gave me a massage gift certificate for Xmas. It was my first professional massage and Shannon made me feel very at ease. I started going for sugaring. Lisa is an awesome aesthetician. Brazilian waxes can be very awkward, but I felt completely relaxed with her. Recently got regular waxing with Barbara (Lisa was off that day) and I can say she is the most meticulous aesthetician ever. Never mind the negative reviews. Viva is a clean, funky, modern spa with wonderful staff. Book an appointment and go see for yourself.

Because of the location, I expected a classy staff - the place is decorated cute but the staff was rude. No one greated me and my massage was just average - not recommended. Also - prices are high and parking is so limited I had to walk on the street for awhile.
