There are so many salons in LA and I have tried a lot of them!!! Finally I found Cory, who treats my hair right! When I first started going to him my hair was so damaged. I love being blond, so do lots of hilights! Cory makes me so

I'm very picky. Amber is probably among the most talented colorist I have ever been too. My hair color is absolutely amazing.

I have curly, wavy, "beachy" hair and (before I found Sara) have never, ever walked out of a salon liking my cut; most hairdressers completely disregard the fact that I wear my hair messy/wavy and give me the same long layered cut that they'd give a person with straight hair. Not only did Sara understand the trendy, beachy, wavy look I am going for but she REALLY knew what she was doing and honestly worked MAGIC with my fine, wavy hair. We had a (complementary) consultation where she got a feel for my hair texture and actually listened to me explain how it behaves and what I want it to do. She cut my hair dry and freehand layered the most insanely amazing pieces in all the right places -- i dont know how she does it! She gives me such a ridiculously amazing haircut that for the first time in my life I can let my hair AIRDRY and with the products she recommended for me, it looks great, effortlessly, everyday. On top of it all, she is the cutest, sweetest person and a pleasure to talk with. I usually never write these reviews but when I saw that Juan Juan was listed I felt like I had to share.

Pros: beautiful salon, hip stylists, get your moneys worth

Havana is an amazing colorist. She has taken me from Dark Brown to Blonde, to Platinum and back to Brown. My hair has managed to stay healthy and she is a wiz with all color. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great colorist.

I've been getting my hair cut and colored by Jarrod for years and have followed him no matter what the distance or cost. He is extremely talented and loves his work - and it shows! I have yet to leave an appointment feeling anything less than fabulous. In fact, he recently colored my hair for my wedding and I spent the evening dancing and getting compliments about it!

If you're looking for a sheik experience and some sexy, sassy hair, Juan Juan is the place to go and Jarrod Fisher is your man for the job!

Havana colors my hair, she does a wonderful job! She is so easy to talk to and actually listens to what I want! I love that she tells me what will look good, I have full trust in her ability. I have been searching for over a year for someone to color my hair! it was worth the wait!!!! The Salon is great, it really feels like a personalized experience every time! The only con if I had to give one would be the parking.

When I started seeing Jarrod, he was at another salon, and I had dead, boring, bland hair. He transformed the texture, look, and feel of my hair and made my color natural and gorgeous! I will and have followed him everywhere, and now he is at Juan Juan. The salon itself is clean, en vogue, and atmospherically friendly, but with Jarrod there, it is top notch! I have been seeing him for over six years now, and I don't even live in LA anymore, but no one, and I mean no one colors my hair but him. I fly to LA specifically to see him. He always listens to what I want and then blows my expectations out of the water. He is truly a bad ass colorist and everyone should know it!

If you don't mind investing in something that you find important i.e. your appearance, you will be pleased with your experience at Juan Juan Salon. First, they offer parking (which is rare in LA) but don't count on it as the lot fills up fast. The professionals at this salon clearly take pride in what they do. Each client is matched with a color professional and stylist to make them look their best. (I have never seen someone leave this salon looking anything but fabulous) I prefer to have color done by Havana, who is amazing with highlights. Don't leave the salon without seeing Nicole for eyebrows the woman works wonders. I have the worst eyebrows and have never met a brow artist that could make them look like this. I have alot of schedule restrictions so I prefer to book my appointments as far in advance as possible.

I have been to Juan Juan twice and I liked their services. The first time I spent a fortune on coloring cuz they told me that they had to get rid of my old color, so total over $300. The second time I got haircut from James and he is truly an artist, and he is really nice. I like a lot what he has done for my hair. He then recommended the Brazilian straightening. I have fine but unrulely hair. It has costed me a lot in the past to take care of it. I haven't gotten my hair straightened at Juan Juan yet but I will do it soon and then write a review here. Some of their staff seem a little inpersonal, but most of them are nice. And yeah, you can watch fasion show while getting your hair washed, which is awesome.

Most high end salons in LA are snotty. This one is only a little snotty at the front desk. LOL! I love how they have people who specialize in different things. You would have a different person cut your hair than the one who colors. My colorist is Cory. He's amazing and super fast. I have not once had a mistake or a color spot. You can almost always get a same day appointment. I hate it when the salons try to look busy by scheduling you out a few days. Once you get there they are not busy at all...ever. I have seen Cory handle 3 clients at one time and I did not once feel ignored, that's real talent. :) Any way, if you go there it might hurt your pocketbook a bit but you will come out looking fabulous.

I have thick eyebrows, and didn't really know a good eyebrow job until Nicole did them. She is the best around at her job. I go there religiously every month now. I love my eyebrows, and she's never made a mistake, ever.

I love my colorist at Juan Juan her name is Eli. She's been in the business for a while and really makes sure my color is always right for me. The salon is beautiful and the staff is ever so helpful. There is parking right behind the salon. I typically come to the salon for color in which Eli is an expert. The salon also specializes in Brazilian Hair straightening, if you haven't tried it, you should. My hair is so unruly and tends to fizz, but with this new procedure it is so easy to manage and the shine is unbelievable. I would recommend this to anyone with hard to straighten hair. I save so much time drying my hair! But be sure to see Eli, she makes your hair look wonderful!

I have lived in Brentwood on and off for about 20 years. I consider myself a local. Juan Juan always looked nice on the outside and I have always wondered what it's like. LET ME ASSURE YOU- I CAN TELL YOU WHAT IT'S LIKE. I called in for an appointment a couple days ago and asked for a stylist that could give me a hairdry in the 30s range- I was told that their bd start at 40 and go until 75 and was assured that I was paying for the talent. I made the appoitment and went in for selfish reasons- I could seriously have done the bd myself, and I usually do, but this was for a film festival and I had to get ready after work and figured I could get my hair done and relax before the gala. First, the shampoo was terrible- they didn't even touch the back of my head near my neck. Second, who puts mousse into curly hair for a STRAIGHT bd? That is completely bizarre. Third, she didn't use any type of leave in conditioner- curly hair ALWAYS needs a leave in conditioner. Then, she used a boar head brush! Anyone who knows anything about curly hair and drying knows that boar dries hair and makes it more coarse than ever imagined aka those models who have wild frizzy hair on the runway on purpose use boar. My hair turned out SO poorly that I had to go home, straighten and curl it myself and add shine serum and conditioning spray myself. AND IT WAS 55!!! Not only was I quoted completely wrong, I got the worst hair dresser, wasted money AND time, and had to redo my hair myself!!!! IF THERE IS A SALON WITH MORE UNTALENTED AND STUPID HAIRDRESSERS OUT THERE, they should merge with Juan Juan and save us all the hassle and worry! Caveat Emptor! Buyer Beware!

Pros: Nice chairs and good magazines

I have shoulder length hair that is so thick and frizzy and I have done every straightener known to man. You name it, I've done it and my hair has always been damaged, too straight, and it never looked like real hair.

My life has basically changed since I had the Brazilian Straightener done at Juan Juan! My friend saw Jennifer to have this done and I could not stop staring at her hair. It was so shiny and didn't look damaged at all. I was sold so I made an appointment with her that SECOND and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself!!!!! My frizzy, unruly hair is now shiny, straight and in the BEST condition it has ever been in. I had it cut right after and it is SERIOUSLY the best my hair has ever looked!!!!!! I will never have a chemical straightener done again, I am all about the Brazilian now! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had many friends that have straightened their hair and they always complain about how damaging it is. So I was hesitant to straighten my own unruly mess of hair. But I recently discovered the Brazilian straightner treatment that is non damaging. It lasts for about three months and my hair has never been so easy to manage!!!! It can be done on highlights, or colored hair too! I don't know of many places on the west coast that do this treatment, but Cory at juan juan did mine and I'm totally psyched! It's changed my life!

I hate this place and will never go back. (For the record, this is the first citysearch review I have ever felt compelled to write - I am not picky and don't have overly high standards). I went for about a year for my cuts and highlights because I live nearby, it was convenient, and I wanted to like it. But eventually I got so fed up with the awful service, untalented hairdressers, and the high prices. Juan Juan likes to present itself as this trendy, hip, LA salon to the stars, but most of the hairdressers there are inexperienced and not talented. One girl gave me the worst blowdry I have ever had - I have curly hair and she turned it into this frizzy nightmare. My hair didn't even look that bad when I was 10 years old and had no idea how to style curly hair. The breaking point was when I went in for a highlight and was completely pressured into doing a single process color first to "break the base." Well, not only is this much more expensive and high maintenance, but I have done it before and hate it! Moreover, my hair doesn't need it in the least. I have dark blond hair and am perfectly happy with light highlights, my hair isn't dark enough to need a single process color first. The stylist - who apparently "invented" this procedure - made me feel like a complete idiot for saying no. He then bullied me into the $40 "deep conditioning" treatment - you would have thought I was the devil's spawn if I'd said no. In what I thought was a pretty tacky move, I got a call from the salon an hour after my appointment because they had forgetten to charge me for the deep conditioning treatment and wanted permission to put it on my credit card. Are you kidding? At the price I paid for the highlights, you would think he could have let it slide. Anyways, I would not recommend this place at all. You can get similar quality for half the price. Or, for the same price, there are some excellent salons out there with talented stylists and good customer service.

I am a regular at Juan Juan in Brentwood and I would ONLY go to James because he is an effin' ROCKSTAR!! I'm serious he is a totally talented cutter and he truly understands how to cut women's hair. I have been to a LOT of stylists in my 20 something years in LA and this guy really knows what he's doing.

and i LOVE LOVE LOVE CORY! I have had the hardest time getting a natural looking blond color, and cory made it happen! He made me feel very comfortable and safe in his chair, and i felt confident that he knew what he was doing. His assistant was really sweet too. The next week i sent my sister to him. She is a brunette, but her always looks dull and lifeless. After a visit to Cory her hair was rich and and shiney and she has never been happier!
For hair cut i saw Kate, and i love her too! My sister saw James and she is verry happy with her cut. We will definatly be making Juan Juan our new home salon!

I'm very picky and recently moved to LA from NY. For years I have been going to Bumble & Bumble in NY and loved it. When I got to LA, I tried many salons and hated all of them until I discovered Natalie (colorist) and I must say that she is better than my colorist in NY. I have dark hair and like very natural brown highlights that are not obvious or brassy. I would highly recommond her and best of all, you don't have to deal with parking issues since they have a small parking area behind the salon .

I went to this salon for the first time in September and I loved the way Jennifer J. color my hair. I have been to all the "IT" salons and no one could do my hair the way Jennifer colored it. she is unbelivable. After my color, I had the salon owner Sean J. cut my hair and I have to say it was maybe the best haircut ever. I have been back twice and have tried them in their Beverly Hills location as well. It's is the best vibe. Everyone is very nice and no attitude!!! my Highlights and cut have never been better. I love these guys. BTW great celeb spoting!!!!!

i walked in to try this salon and my natural looking dark blonde hair turned into a messy white blonde dissaster. HIGHLIGHTS WERE WAY OVERDONE AND BLEED ONTO OTHER PARTS OF MY HAIR!! the cost was $200 for a partial highlight which did NOT include a blow dry. the hairdresser was very nice, but boy was she bad.

I loved this salon. Not that they did the best highlights and haircut but my eyebrows by Anastasia looked amazing. This is by far one of the most beautifull salons I have been into. There is no reason for me to having to drive all the way to beverly hills any more. Everyone was very nice and freindly as well. We needed this salon in Brentwood.
