We wanted Thai food on our vacation and it took more than an hour to get it. The guest who were at the table looked angry and hungry. We saw a sign that said the wait is long, but well worth it. So we thought it was normal. There was one old man who took all the orders and seated individuals. The woman did not do anything but hand out menus. She acted like she did not know how to seat people. There were plenty of tables left, but they did not seat anyone and people kept waiting by the door and then leaving. I looked over at a table and this lady gave me a look like: leave if you know what is good for you. We finally got seated after waiting for 20 minutes and we waited another 15 minutes for them to get our orders. When we told him that we did not want peanuts in our pad thai, he told us he would try because it was a special order. Are you kidding me special order, just don't include the peanuts for the topping. We waited another 45 minutes until they brought out the food. In the meantime a couple dined and dashed, meaning they did not pay for their beer because they must of been waiting for over an hour to receive their food. Another couple threatened to leave, but they offered them another coke to stay. They said that everyone who eats their food cleans their plate, of course they clean their plate because they wait for over an hour and they are hungry. We finally received our food and it was good, but a small portion. He told us that our pad thai was coming and he has to hide the peanuts from his cook because the lady messed up the order 2 times already. He finally brought it out and the portion was ridiculously small and we were shocked because we could of ate it in one bite. Luckily the pad thai had peanuts on it. We told the man that peanuts were on it and he was upset and said I told the cook not to do it. Then when we paid for our curry, he told us he should stop taking special orders. Again no peanuts, special order???? They must of changed owners because this placed looked and sounded a whole lot better than what I expected. There was no longer a bar there. I do not drink, but the bar in the picture looked nice, but inside the bar is covered with paper and old mail. There was one last family left who had been waiting for more than 40 minutes and they decided to seat themselves. Do not go here unless there is no one there because more than 2 tables means this restaurant is too busy and you will wait a long time.

My boyfriend and I went here for a sort of special-occasion dinner while visiting Lincoln City. At first, we were going to go to another restaurant, but the long wait for a table and generally exasperated waitstaff dissuaded us. I remembered reading good reviews about Andaman, so we decided to go there instead, and we were oh-so-glad we did.

Although it doesn't look like much from the outside, the interior is beautifully decorated, as well as cozy. Although it took a few minutes to be seated, the server (whom I suspect is also the owner) quickly returned to get our drink orders. BF ordered a coffee, and I ordered the pomegranate ginger iced tea, which was a little spendy for a non-alcoholic drink, but nevertheless very refreshing and delicious.

After looking over the menu and considering appetizers (the angel prawns in particular sounded good), we decided to just stick to dinner, as both of us generally have smaller appetites. He chose the crispy pad thai, and I got the pineapple lover's fried rice. The owner explained to us that, as there were two other tables of six ahead of us, our food might be a while. I thought that was nice of him, rather than simply leaving us to wonder if they were ever coming back.

The food was well worth the wait! Presented beautifully, well-prepared, just awesome all around. My rice was slightly spicy, sweet, and had both chicken and shrimp. BF's pad thai was good too, an interesting twist on the dish that we both love. We both finished every bite, and I couldn't help but notice that everyone at the tables around us did as well (one man was even tipping his plate to scoop up every last bit of his curry!)

Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a delicious meal in Lincoln City, especially those who are tired of the same old crusted halibut, pasta, or crab cakes.

Pros: good food, decent price, cozy atmosphere

The food here is amazing. Super delicious, made to order -- everything is made by one lady in the back. Gorgeous presentation. Nice ambiance. The wait is kind of long, because everything is made by just one lady in the back. But bring a newspaper or catch up with your dining companion(s), and the time flies by.

This restaurant has exquisite food and presentation. The owner is usually present to greet guests. The tea, rice, and main dishes are different and delicious.
