Monty, Monty, Monty,
You must have been at another store. I absolutely love Pasadena Architectural Salvage. It is tricky to spell, however. Other than that, I have found more great buys there than anywhere I have been. I have never been treated as anything but family. It would be my first stop for anything that I needed for my old restored home. This is a gem.

From the moment I walked in I knew this was my store. A friend who had visited Pasadena over the Xmas holidays said I had to go for the items I needed for my home. OMG - it was the answer to all of those little things I was missing. I found the staff to be helpful and insightful. They listened to what I needed and offered the best suggestions. I saw Monty's review. He/She needs either to get a new outlook on life or visit again.

A great find in Pasadena. Especially good for doors, windows...Very nice, helpful staff...don't know why the other reviewer had such a negative reaction- perfect place for casual browsing or hard to find historic items.

Don't bother with this one. This is a new store with very little merchandise at very very expensive prices. I've been collecting antiques and salvage items for my craftsman home for over 30 years now, and was severly disappointed with Pasadena Architectural Salvage. Worse yet, the sales team is inept and generally unknowledgeable about their own items. WASTE OF TIME!

PROS: ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE
CONS:

I have bought 3 wonderful old lavatories, and antique furniture, hardware and architectural elements, from The Emporium, in Houston, Texas over the years, which was owned and run by the same group as Pasadena Architectural Salvage. I think Pasadena should prove to be an enormous hunting ground for this type of business. Although I have not yet visited the new Pasadena store, I am sure it will be as professionally run and operated as the Emporium was in Houston. The only reason I did not rate them "World Class" is because I believe they are a local salvage company. However, the inventory and service is most definitely "World Class." I took my lavatories to Hawaii, where I live, and everyone wants them. Moving to Pasadena, CA has brought them closer to me.
