I love to read, and I hate paying the price for a new book, so I'm always in search of a good-used book store. I live in SF but visit Santa Maria often to see the inlaws so was looking for bookstore when I came upon this one. The store is small but cute, and is decorated with all my favorite kinds of things like fairies, dragons, old santas etc., and there is a good selection of books. You have to see it for yourself as there's lots to look at and enjoy. The owner is a lovely lady originally from England (love her accent) and is very helpful and friendly. After buying a couple of books she told me I could have one of her charm stones for luck which she keeps in a basket for her customers, and has another basket with little positive sayings on them, which she lets you pick as well. It was an unexpected nice suprise and I'd definetly recommend her store to others who like to read. She also buys some books.

The nice thing about this book store is that you can sit down in any one of the comfortable chairs and peruse your book before deciding on your purchase. The owner is pleasant, helpful, and very knowledgeable, and she knows her inventory.

She has a large selection of history books, self-help books, and metaphysical books as well as paperback romances. Because most of the books are half price and you can return them for credit, it's a wonderful way to stretch your buying dollar.

This used book store has a very good selection of paperback books and collectible hardbound books, and the owner really knows her merchandise. If you inquire about the availability of a book she knows whether she has it or not, and can go right to it. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Used paperbacks are half price and you can trade them back in for 20% of the original publishers price so you can keep recycling your books. In today's economy it's a great way to watch your money and still have something new to read.

This is a great used book store that is located in the Ross shopping center. The store is not exceptionally large, but it does contain a ton of books. The woman that runs the store is very friendly and seems to know everything that is on the shelf. If you ask for a particular book, she will take you right to it. The really cool thing about this place is the pricing. You pay half of the cover price for used books. Then, when you are done, you can return the book for half of what you paid in store credit to buy more books.
