.

We had a pool deck constructed by Systems Paving, in Dallas . Although they were not the cheapest, we figured that it is a big company that would fix any problems we may have. While the workmanship was good, the communication with the supervisors was not . Most disappointingly, the bricks installed appear faulty.
Specifically, there was a tension over whether the salesman had initially measured the size of the plot correctly. Even after the issue was settled, we (instead of the project supervisor) had to call to arrange for a new pallet of stones.
The problem with the stones is that the vast majority, but not all of them, have dots in the corners; they look like a series of dominoes. We presented this to them, and they told us that it is part of the "curing process" and will eventually go away. They do say that if it does not clear up in three months, they will do something about it. I am glad that we are not planning on selling our house now, since it really looks awful! I wish I could upload a picture. Even if it does clear by itself, which I tend to doubt, I still think that they should have warned us about this. Even though we contacted the local branch of Systems Paving with our problem, we only got attention after had e-mailed the corporate office.

Pros: good workmansip

Cons: lack of communication - we suspect low-quality bricks used
