We went to SWPCA after our insurance changed when my husband deployed. I took our 1-year-od son in for a routine check-up and immunizations, which should've been a quick and easy visit, and left vowing to NEVER return to that place.

After waiting for about half an hour in a small, unfriendly waiting room we were led to a dimly lit, dingy examination room. The doctor came by within a few minutes and examined my son, who was determined to be in perfect health. She left saying the nurse would be by in a few minutes to give my son his five immunizations. An hour later the nurse bumbles in and tries to organize herself. She cleans both of his arms and has me hold him down while she took her time butchering his little arms. Normally my son barely cries during his immunizations, but this experience was so painful for him that he was screaming and shaking in my arms. Now, 24 hours later, his arms are swollen and tender and there are five large bruises, one at at each injection site.

As a former Army Combat Medic I have immunized many children, and witnessed the immunization of numerous more, and I have never seen such unprofessionalism and incompetence. DO NOT take your child to SWPCA.
