Customer Service is so deficient, I opted to close all of my accounts on the spot. When the representative proceeded to close all of my accounts without so much as a question or apology, I absolutely had to pose a few questions. How long have you worked here? She answered 13 years. What is uour title? I asked. Financial Service rep, she responded. I asked, is customer service and client retention not in your job description? She had no response....this is the face of Texans people. A clueless, lacking in technology, uncaring, unfriendly bank. I opened a checking account 5 years ago simply to get my mortgage loan. Now I find out that they have gobbled up my checking account money due to inactivity and they refused to return in. No surprise why there is one cashier behind a counter that should hold ten. They don't have the business, plain and simple they don't know how to take care of the customer.

Do not use this bank! Went in for a personal loan, submitted for a car loan and prior to even filling out an application, the Financial Services Manager at the McDermott location was trying to discourage us from applying for the loan. What she did not know was I have an extensive banking background and it was illegal to try to discourage us for applying for a loan. Called member services to speak with a manager. Suppose to receive a call back. We will see. Will let Michael Sauer, the President, know they are breaking laws!!!!!!!

Lousy member services support. Poor followup on important questions. Major error in processing a payment that has caused issues. Cannot even get a response from higher management on the issue. Behind on technology... can't make online payments without a checking account with them, etc. Incompetent staff. Never do business with Texans.

Great bank as long as you don't actually need to talk to a person. If it weren't convenient (in my building) I would close my account, in fact I was in the process of closing my account when I learned about their High Interest checking account, which I am trying. If it fails to impress, I'm gone.

It's no wonder this location is closing! The service is awful and the people aren't easy to work with.

The first time I went into this branch, I made a 1:30 PM appointment to speak to someone about a home loan. The mortgage officer forgot about our appointment and didn't come back from lunch until after 2 PM and barely apologized for keeping me waiting for over half an hour. She also was not prepared for the discussion and took about 15 minutes to look for a home loan information packet. After she found the packet, she told me that I should just read it and then get back to her with questions. (I don't know why her coworkers couldn't have just handed me the packet themselves when I first arrived.) I told her that since I had already waited so long anyway, I wanted her to go ahead and give me a quote on the mortgage and associated fees as we had discussed when I made the appointment. After at least 10 mins of goading, she realized I wasn't leaving the office and reluctantly typed my information into her computer to give me a quote. I also don't know why she thought it was such a big deal to do that because the whole process took about 5 mins of asking me questions and typing and another couple of minutes for the computer to verify and print everything. Needless to say, I did not want these people to handle something as important as my mortgage!

The second time I went to this branch, I needed to have a legal document notarized. I first called and asked if it was required for me to have an account in order to have my documents notarized and I was told that I did not need to have a Texans account, but I needed to bring a valid ID. I also asked if the notary was in the office because I wanted to avoid the previous scenario. This time, the wait was not the issue, but the service was even worse than the previous time. At first the notary couldn't find her notary book, but luckily she found a new one in a back office. And then, after I filled out all my information, she looked through my document and then started passing it around to her coworkers, which I thought was very unprofessional. I understand if her manager needs to review it but the 2 other tellers in the location do not! Then after her manager reviews it, he tells me that he cannot allow her to notarize it unless I have an account with them and proceeded to try to get me to sign up for an account! I was appalled and told them that the person who answered the phones that morning said I did not need to have an account. Then the manager tells me that he can make an exception but needed to see my document again. After another review of my document, he told me that he wasn't comfortable with his staff notarizing it. I asked him why and I could see that he was formulating some stupid excuse in his head... What he came up with is that he didn't want to notarize a document that would be sent to a lawyers office and that I should have the lawyer's office notarize it for me instead. I explained to him that my lawyer was located in a different city and had sent me the document and requested that I sign it in front of a notary and mail it back to him. There was no way I could fly to my lawyer's office by the deadline and sign it there. The manager refused again and told his notary to scratch out my information from her book and then told me that I would have to find someone else to do it and then walked off. I was left flabbergasted! I don't know why anyone would go to this branch for any reason at all! I was completely disgusted with the staff and business practices and have not returned since.

I have a car loan through this institution, and I make my payments over the phone. So far I have made three payments, and every one of them has been a long, drawn-out ordeal. It's like none of the staff understand how to make a phone transaction correctly the first time. They either always write the incorrect bank info, forget to get key info from me to make the transaction, or simply forget to make the transaction altogether. I ALWAYS end up having to call them several days after my transactions were supposedly made, and have some giggly idiot on the other line like, "Oops, haha, sorry... we forgot to do that... We'll get on it right now!" I'm not laughing.

Sloppy customer service.

This credit union is only avaialble for certain people that work at nearby businesses. But if you are able to use them please do. They gave me my first auto loan at the lowest rate I could find out there. Will do business with them again.

I deposited a few checks here and they gave me a little trouble because I didn't bring my drivers liscence. I always thought you did not need ID to deposit checks, but apparently it's different here than from everywhere else. The people are nice, but they don't seem to really care about you.

Saved us a bundle on our car and boat! Have had nothing but pleasant and helpful member service contact. They are eager to help and look at all avenues of help in financing and refinancing.

PROS: Very friendly
CONS: A little far to drive
