I could not get an appointment for months, but then once I had an appointment I received a letter in the mail, a phone call would have been nice, saying I needed to reschedule. I did, and had to wait a few more weeks. Once I got there I was asked if I had printed and filled out the paperwork online...but I had not been asked to do this. My response was met with eye rolls and a big sigh. Once I was called back I met with Rosemary, a physician's assistant. After a very brief conversation she was writing me a prescription. I asked about the causes of the symptoms and whether tests should be run. She got very annoyed with me and said googling doesn't make me a physician. I left the office in tears, not doing the tests or taking the prescription. I have never been treated so poorly and I have no idea why she got so angry.

I was recommended to Comprehensive Womens Health by a patient where I work. When I made the appointment, I was told the nurse practitioner will be the person who sees new patients. That was fine with me, but for some reason I thought that eventually I would get to see a doctor. So six months later, I have yet to see a doctor but when I look at my insurance paper work it always reflect I saw a doctor.

The first time I had an unpleasant experience was during the womens wellness exam. I had to sign a document stating that if anything other than the exam is discussed or discovered, I would have to pay my co-pay of $35. However they should really consider having the nurse practitioner and doctors sign the same form. I went through the wellness exam and towards the end, the nurse practitioners asked me a question regarding a condition we had already discuss in previous weeks. So I answered her questions, not thinking anything about it, and when I check out, I am hit with a $35 co-pay. I was so angry because I did not initiate any conversation with the nurse practitioner, she did. When I explained that to the staff I was told I had signed the form and that if the doctor discovers something during the wellness exam, there would be a co-pay. I let the staff know that the conversation was initiated by the nurse practitioner and that it was not a new "discovery" since we had discussed the condition in previous appointments. To say the least I had to pay the $35 co-pay because the rules are for the patients and do not apply to the nurse practitioners or doctors!
The last straw was when I was scheduled for a second internal ultrasound. The first one had been back in February and the ultrasound and follow up with the nurse practitioner happened the same day. When they scheduled the second one, the staff member said they could not be scheduled the same day because the insurance company would not cover it. I let her know I would not be paying $35 dollar 2x's and I was told it would only be one co-pay, that there was no co-pay for the ultrasound. So I scheduled the appointment and had the ultrasound but had to cancel the appointment due to schedule conflicts. Well two months later I get a bill for the ultrasound co-pay! I called them but the office was no help. I called my insurance and they said that they would pay for same day appointments, meaning I could have had the ultrasound and follow up the same day. I called the office back and they said that it was an office policy, because some insurance policies allow and other do not. So I am forced to go by a blanket policy because the staff is incompetent! I do not think so! Blanket policies do not belong in a doctors office! I paid the fee and filled out the medical release form to have my records send to a new doctor.

I just went yesterday for my annual. My appt was at 4:00, I was in by 4:10 (with an insurance change) and out & done by 4:30! Staff is always friendly! I see Rosemary, and she is fantastic!

I had my first appointment with CWHC with Michelle McElroy today and I was so disappointed with my experience I came home crying. I'm not the type to actually come on here and write a review but I'm really angry with how I was treated. I wish I could have stayed with my old doctor but she moved to Utah and I moved across town at the same time. I'm 19 weeks pregnant with my first child. They had a very nice office and waiting room for kids, I see why it needs to be so nice and have enough to keep kids occupied when you have to wait an hour just to be called in and another 20 minutes to be seen. When I called for my appointment I asked to make sure I was getting an ultrasound done as well. My last doctor told me they did it at 18-20 weeks to see the sex of the baby and I was so excited for that to be happening today. When the Dr. came in she introduced herself to me but that was it, she said nothing to my boyfriend or the kids she just did everything she needed to and asked a couple questions but wasn't sincere or nice to us at all. She acted more like it was just a job, and not one she enjoyed. My boyfriend and his 2 kids were with us so we could have them be apart of this experience too so they can understand what's going on and it seemed when she asked if this was MY first child she completely switched attitudes. When I asked about my ultrasound she said that it will be done within the next couple weeks and when I told her that I made this appointment for that as well she said, "No I'm the only one who can make those appointments for you," you can't schedule all in one day. My boyfriend spoke up and said how we didn't know the sex of the baby yet she said that they don't do ultrasounds to find out the sex of the baby there that if they happen to see it they will tell you but will not take the time to look for it, the ultrasound is only to see if everything is okay. She was completely uncaring to the fact that, first of all I understand that obviously I want to make sure everything is okay but how can you downplay the fact that I want to have the chance to see the sex of my baby that is also important to me! All of this probably would have been somewhat understandable if she would have been nice to all of us and explained it better instead of saying it all rude. She listened to the heartbeat but didn't even tell me what the heart rate was. Besides some mild morning sickness in the first trimester I've been feeling great but I woke up in the middle of the night really not feeling well, almost flu like and it carried on today and when I tried to tell her it went right over her head like I said nothing. I was so frustrated today she really ruined what I wanted to be a great experience. I'm going for my ultrasound next week hoping they can SEE the sex maybe, but I'm either getting a different doctor in the practice or changing all together!! I'm not happy!

I had my first child in July of 2008. Before I was pregnant I had never seen an OBGYN. CWHC was recommended to me. The only OBGYN that was available was Michelle McElroy D.O. I wanted Susan but she wasn't accepting new patients. I had such a great experience with her. She always went out of her way to make sure I was understanding everything that was going on during my pregnancy. I was dilated 3 weeks before my due date so she was even willing to schedule an induction before my due date. I had lots of morning sickness and anemia and she took care of it with supplements. During labor she was great. My active labor was about 20 minutes with no epidural, in the chaos she did a great job.
After my pregnancy I had mastitis twice. For this I saw the nurse practitioner, her name started with a W. She was very friendly and helpful.
I hope they are around for my next baby!

I have been using this gynecologist since I first started going to one. The service is outstanding! Everybody in there is extremely nice and outgoing. I especially love going to the nurse practitioners because I feel like I can talk to them about anything. A+!

We began going to Women's Comprehensive health when we had our first child. We have been very pleased with the service and knowledge of the staff. I like that there is woman on staff, though it is very difficult to get in to see her. It is worth the wait; however, because the environment is very comfortable, friendly and knowledgeable. Though we waited in the waiting room for sometimes up to 45 minutes, the doctors were always willing to take an extra few minutes to answer questions. Also, they have the 3d sonogram machine in the office and you can get your lab work done there too.

PROS: Helpful, friendly, knowledgable staff
CONS: long wait

I've been going to this ob/gyn office for several years now. I was drawn here because they have a female ob/gyn on staff but getting in to see her takes a lot of planning ahead. Since my first visit I have been quite content to schedule my yearly appointments with their nurse practitioner. She is very nice and easy to talk to, caring and professional. I feel that I am in good hands. I rarely have to wait very long in the waiting room (which we women know can be very long sometimes in those ob/gyn offices). I don't know much about the other doctors there, but I'm sure they're good, the waiting room is always full. The location is fairly easy to find, just watch you don't miss the driveway (which I've done several times) and wind up parking in the back of Albertsons.

PROS: Several doctors on staff, great RNP
CONS: Call ahead to schedule your yearly exam
