My fiance and I were looking for a for our 2 kittens after moving to Columbus from Boston, and have thus far been extremely satisfied with Apples. I was impressed by Dr. Parsons from the beginning - we had had our kittens medical records faxed over to their office, and he had fully read through BOTH of their patient profiles, and thus was up to speed on their history, which was very helpful when I was describing to him the bout of vomiting that one of the kittens was dealing with at the time. Parson's also really seemed to listen to what I had to say about the kittens, was obviously very knowledgeable, and afterwards, took more time with me to get to know myself and my girlfriend. A class act.
The rest of the staff at the clinic were also exceptionally friendly and easy to talk to, and the facilities, while they may looks older, are really quite quaint. While I cannot attest to the price value of this clinic (as I did not compare with other vet clinics), the prices did not seem to me outrageous (though I did move in from Boston, so everything here is cheaper), and if they were more expensive, I would still be bringing my 2 kittens back to Apples for their superior service and help.

I noticed the other review here and I wanted to update everyone about Apples Clinic. I didn't know the old doctor, Dr. Porter, but the new vet that runs it now, Dr. Parsons, is a one-in-a-million veterinarian. You WILL NOT find a better vet or a better group of people than Dr. Parsons and his team. The building may be a little older, but the service, pricing, and level of caring is truly world-class.
I took my cat, Wingnut, to Dr. Parsons for pretty serious surgery in early 2007 and I was beyond impressed by the entire experience. It's been almost a year now since Wingnut's procedure and I still get the occasional call from the Apples' staff to check on him. The support and aftercare was AMAZING and I cannot say enough about all of the great people there.
Dr. Parsons and his entire team are willing to go way above-and-beyond to take care of your pet (he came in on his day off when the clinic was closed to see Wingnut on one occasion!) He truly loves animals and it shows in everything he does. Dr. Parsons is a modern, cutting-edge vet with a real passion for YOUR pet(s). He is a top-notch surgeon and he and his staff will make you feel like family from your very first visit. If you want a vet you can trust 100% with the health and care of your pets, you will not do better than Dr. Parsons and his team at Apples Veterinary Clinic.

This clinic is located in an old building and it shows. The clinic is small and can be difficult to get in to see Dr. Porter on short notice. If you have an emergency, they can squeeze you in, of course. Dr. Porter is very caring.
We used Apple's Veterinary Hospital as a primary vet for our dog and cat for a couple of years. We changed vets, mostly for the cost factor. We noted "annual exam" fees on our bill when we brought our pet(s) in for other reasons. Our new vet doesn't charge an exam visit on top of the charges for a check-up for a problem.
PROS: Friendly caring service
CONS: Pricey and small
