My Daughter's beautiful wedding at the Picnic House was ruined by this caterer, PRIMA DONNA CATERERS. This caterer should not be on thier" exclusive "list of caterers to choose from. The hot food was cold, and the cold food was warm. 75% of the reception guests became severly ill will diahreah & cramping. The owner of the catering business did not show any remorse ,nor did Ms Isaacs want to compensate for any of the paid services. Very sad indeed!

People always exclaim over Manhattan's Central Park as the best park in New York, but I think it's a tie with Brooklyn's Prospect Park.

I'm not going to go on about the rink, boathouse, lush greenery or really cool, forest like atmosphere, because everyone else has said it all. I just think it's a cool place and I'm proud to take anyone there at the drop of a hat. It's interesting how some people travel to distant states or countries to go hiking or take in some exotic scenery or locale, but to me, Prospect Park IS like visiting a different state every time I stroll through the paths, see the joggers or take in the many free concerts that take place in the Bandshell. We have the zoo, gazebos, lakes and more on this historical landmark and it's all in one place. The grounds staff do an excellent job of keeping the park clean and it's a great place to take your family and friends & just spread out on a blanket and relax.
The place is also perfect for joggers as it has several trails or if you prefer, you can jog around the circumference of the park on the sidewalk.

The park is also the scene for the circus, festivals and impromptu parties. The fact that the Botanic Gardens, Grand Army Plaza Library (Brooklyn's main branch) and the Brooklyn Museum are across the street is just a bonus.

Park Slope residents are lucky to have this park so close to home. It's Brooklyn's Central Park, but less crowded. It's lovely for walking, jogging, biking, picnics, sports, or lying around in the grass on a warm sunny day. Cars aren't allowed on the main road most of the time, making it safe for bikers and joggers. It's big, so you can take time exploring different areas on different days. There is a lake that is really nice to sit by in the summer. There is also a good playground (actually, there are at least a couple playgrounds spread throughout, but I'm talking about the main one) and a pretty nice picnic house that can be rented out for special events.

This Park is beautifully designed and well maintained. It has a lake (with pedalboats), ballfields, jogging and bycicle paths, a waterfall, picnic grounds, tennis courts and a Great Lawn. There is also a great children's zoo, and it is right next to the botanical gardens and Brooklyn Museum. It is easy to get to by subway, and you can also stroll through Park Slope, a great neighborhood with shops and restaurants - and not as overpopulated as Central Park.

PROS: Close f/ Brooklynites, Well Maintained, Easy to maneuver
CONS:
