Let me just start this off by saying - I am not too picky with my apartments. If it's a good price and sanitary, I am generally a happy camper. However, I am leaving this apartment extremely disappointed in how the landlord manages this complex. He is very very hard to get a hold of if there are any difficulties. For instance, in the lease we were promised one parking space per apartment. However, when we moved in, we were not given parking passes. As a result, for football Saturday's (extremely busy), the parking structure was full of cars without passes, because people are aware that we don't use them in our lot. They were basically getting really close free parking, and forcing everybody else who legally has a spot, out. I was forced to park far away, and walk 20 minutes to my apartment. After calling the landlord about 15 times that day, I still have not received a response regarding this issue. This was about 6 months ago.

Earlier in the year, we started smelling gas a lot in the apartment. We became wary, and asked the landlord to come take a look at it. Surprisingly, he answered fairly quickly - probably bc. he didn't want the complex to burn down. He ended up coming to look at our stove while I was sitting in my bedroom doing homework. He walked over and told me he fixed the stove and quickly left. A few minutes later, the smoke alarm started going off. I ran into the kitchen to find flames rolling out from our stove. Of course, I panicked and called the fire department. Luckily, the fire didn't spread much and was confined to only the stove area. The landlord never apologized for almost burning down the apartment with me (and whoever else in the complex) inside. I never heard anything from this landlord after he left. No "Hey thank you for stopping a potential fiery disaster". Nothing. To top that, our apartment still smells like gas badly. It's unacceptable.

I could write about multiple other situations, but I will spare you and only write about one more. We have recently noticed a fly problem in our apartment, especially by the windows. We noticed that there are small cracks in them that allow the bugs to fly in free will. After contacting the landlord, we still haven't heard back from him. There are about 20 flies by that window as I write this. It's very disgusting. I will definitely be contacting somebody soon about this landlord's poor ability to keep this apartment sanitary.

After all is said and done, it's not a terrible apartment for the price. Just be aware that the management here is TERRIBLE and if any situation goes awry, don't expect any help. He is simply there to collect your check, and no more. Very greedy, very selfish. Definitely my worst landlord experience out of all college housing - and that's saying something.

I suppose for a student apartment, it wasn't bad, but I still don't think that the way in which the company handles maintenance requests is acceptable. Nothing was ever done as far as maintenance requests. We were promised that everything that needed completion in the apartment we were shown would be done prior to us moving in. Nothing on that list had been completed when we moved OUT a year later!

It should have been a sign when we spoke with the manager and he made arrangements to meet us there on the given date and the given hour with our keys. I was the first to arrive, ready and waiting to unload my car....two hours went by with NO sign from them. The keys were nowhere to be found, and nobody was answering the phone. We were finally let in, three hours late, by the "maintenance man" who knew nothing of the arrangment.
