Edaville is a wonderful family tradition! Contrary, to a former comment the park as been opened every year since 1999. I know this because I have visited the park with my family since the reopening. However, it is important to note that the park is only open for special events during the summer time. The events are great, my family is looking forward to Hello Kitty, Day out with Thomas and the Webkins! Additionally, this summer they are open on Thursday nights from 4-9, last Thursday being the first one and it was fabulous! We got to meet Clifford the dog and it was something nice to do during the week. Additionally, the Day out With Thomas event is wonderful! I would just call ahead or check out their website to make sure they are open on the date you want.

My nephew also had his birthday party at Edaville. I cannot say enough about the fantastic staff. It was one of the most enjoyable "kids" birthday I have been too. The kids get unlimited rides on the tea cups, astronauts, flying elephant, carousel, the worm, etc. It was great! The park even offers fishing!

Furthermore, nothing beats Edaville's Christmas Festival of Lights! My family and I buy a season pass every year, because we enjoy the festival so much. It does get busy at times, but you always get a train ride if you buy a ticket! The light display is unbelievable and Santa is always so sweet! And he actually does look like Santa!

This is a must see place! And if you have not visited Edaville all ready you should start your family tradition this year!

I loved Edaville growing up. We would go almost every year around this holiday time. They have the Festival of Lights, an old-fashioned train ride through the woods, antique trains and cars, and fireworks every friday. They offer discounts of $2 a person. Parking is ample. The only bad thing is they are settled quite off the highway. But the experience at Edaville was worth the ride.

Edaville USA is an awesome place to go during their Holiday Festival of Lights which is held around Christmas time. They have a train you can ride through cranberry bogs. The boggs are lit up with more Christmas lights that I have ever seen. Kids can also meet Santa and ride on some midway rides. There is a gift shop, a place to eat and other holiday displays. Everything is included in one admission price. It can become pricey if you are taking a family. During the summer they have different themed days like their Day Out With Thomas day. I highly recommend going around the holidays even if you are an adult. You won't be sorry! Dress warm. It always seems much colder here.

PROS: Awesome light display, family events, all inclusive admission
CONS: Costly for large families

We used to go there quite often when I was a child, then they closed for quite a few years. They have reopened and it's great to introduce my children to the holiday fun we used to experience. It is VERY expensive, though, and if you go during the Christmas Season, the train is so full, you may not be able to ride it. But if you go before the real Christmas season starts, you should not have a problem.

Edaville has always been a favorite of mine since i was a child, now i bring my nieces and nephews there. At Christmas is simple beautiful. They have the bogs lit up so the train ride is particularly nice. It has some other rides and a small museum. Great place to bring the kids, especially at christmas.

PROS: nice around christmas time
CONS: none

This is the perfect place to go with kids that love trains. Besides the regular steam engines they also have special events with Thomas the Tank Engine, cranberry festival and the festival of lights during the Christmas holiday. It is a lot of fun for both adults and children. There are other activities besides the trains too so pack a lunch and plan on spending the day. Reasonably priced

Edaville Railroad was such a holiday staple growing up! The grounds were always decorated for the holidays and looked great. The little ones could visit Santa, go on little rides and even ride the Edaville Railroad train around. Unfortunately, the park has been going through rough times and isn't open every year.

Edaville Railroad has returned to So. Carver. Reopening after several years Edaville has been totally revamped. The train ride (narrow-gauge) is still there though much shorter. The train ride at Christmas time is quite enjoyable as you pass through cranberry bogs and lighted holiday displays.

In warm weather there are some amusement park type rides such as a carousel, tilt-a-whirl and scrambler. Some weekends in the summer feature a "Day Out With Thomas", a day of fun with Thomas the Tank Engine.

PROS: All in all a great time.
CONS: Can be a bit pricey
